hello UV does help a little by reducing parasites which would attack the fishes if stress.. its not an absolute must, but it does help to care for the fish a way or another

Jem's Tip Of The Day: becareful not to pull things out or irritate the anemone's mouth.. the anemone's mouth is one of the most delicate part of its body.. you have a high chance of hurting it by doing so

wow..a fellow anemone tank i see that this is your first post =) welcome to the club u can try using nettings and use industrial cable ties to wrap it around the pump inlet doubt the anemone would get stuck in it again

for a 4 footer i suggest u get a Seio M1100 instead i am using 1x M1100 and find it two weak already

my bid for the anemone =) focusing on a all anemone tank my tank has many liverock crevices for the anemones to situate themselves in current tank residents are -reef-safe copperband -two common clowns (paired) -green-tip anemone just changed the light to 4x PL just suitable for anemones which allows the anemones to get light from whichever part of the tank didnt go for t5 as i am afraid the t5 will fluctuate the tank temperature hope i will win the bid for the beautiful anemone =) Ps:Tank Colour is not as pinkish as what is shown in picture..its more on the blue side..didnt adjust the colour contrast on the DC properly

hi there glad to see that you are enjoying back the hobby =) well..frankly mind me but here are some advices -try to run an FR with Phospate remover to eradicate those diatoms and algaes,your tank would look at its best without them -upgrade your air-driven skimmer to a better one..if you are going on a budget u can go for weipro..the air driven skimmer wont serve u well for long-term -try to hunt out the mantis shrimp..it may kill your other livestock in future -the first "soft-coral" in the shape of a bubble is not a soft coral.its a LPS..yupp and its name is also "bubble coral" =) -the second "soft-coral" is also an LPS it is called "Hammer Coral" -your harlequin shrimp looks cool..but i've read somewhere that brittle starfish are not its proper diet so avoid feeding it...switch to linkia starfish instead.. hope i helped a little one way or another -your mushroom looks stressed and bleached..try your best to nurse it back to its brightful colours =)
