I know there's 2 versions. The DC pump which can adjust the flow one, I heard shaft can break quite easily... And the controller also won't last long The one I'm using now is the one that can't control the flow

Bro I got that from a lfs in JB. New Oasis. Personally I like this pump. Low wattage and quiet. Durability still a ?. My previous 4000l pump served me for about 5 months. Quite okay.

Upgraded the return pump today from 4000L to 5000L. always feel that my turnover is not sufficient. Bought this Jebao return pump. Must say is a good and quiet pump. Running at 40W only. Cost less than 100 bucks.. hehe.. The previous 4000L pump will now become the backup.

ahh another thing, if possible, do a floor trap or a culvert in the room, for the discharge of the water..

why not put ur water storage tank and ro/di unit in the room as well ? so that it wont be so awkward to see a storage tank at your nicely done garden... do plan your power points layout. to have some on the top and bottom. always good to have a few few more extras. this is what i missed out during my tank planning.

depends on your tank size and bioload. you may be surprise that the smaller skimmer sometimes performs better than the big ones. both are good skimmers and value for $$$

I will rule out "cone" skimmers. Read from somewhere that this kinda design has the least bubble contact time, which is not ideal for a skimmer to perform effectively. I am a SC1455 user, for my lightly-stocked 250L mixed reef, and I'm happy with it.
