i'm currently use Deltec 1455 on my 2ft tank (150L)

i always go for x 2 or x 3 or even x 5 of the recommended volume of a skimmer. if your tank volume is 200L , i probably will go for a skimmer which can handle 800-1000L

jebao pumps,although made in china, i'v been using 2 for almost 1 year and still running strong. the look is awful, but low power consumption. drawing 40+Watts for 5000L pump. one thing about pumps is, do not turn them on and off frequently..

Wow time flies.. Almost 1 year liao.. Here's some updates. Still have a lot of space to fill up. Yes, I have to admit that I'm really slow at stocking... Parameters have been well maintained. Not much of casualties. No algae problem so far. Tried some SPS. apparently not doing so well (in terms of coloration), except birdnest and pocci. Perhaps because i'm using tap water and not RODI.

a 26-27 Celcius Degree tank would enable you to keep most of the livestocks that you can obtain in the local market.

To clarify, i'm not so much wanting to let go the corals... just to give the opportunity to those who come and collect cheato, at the same time, if they wan, can get some corals back.. Only several pieces that i may let go. Most of the corals are LPS. aussie acans, rics, plates and etc. price ranging from $50 to $200. i also have a finger and leather to give away FOC, with any purchase.

are deltec skimmers too cheap for you to consider ? otherwise personally i think they are good skimmers with great local support.

so far the isolation box (with front cover) works well for me. you have to put the box in the tank for days or weeks so that the fish gets familiar with it.. drop the fish food into the box regularly so that they know that's the place to get food.
