  1. RBTA is one of my "must-have" inverts... hehe. Grabbed a nice piece from The Fish Channel. Although a bit pricey, i'm willing to pay for the price for it It's settling down at the perfect location which i want it to be since day 1 (3 days ago). Hopefully it's not going to move around.
  2. Any kind bro here can borrow me your TDS meter? just need a single test to know what's the TDS level from my tap water. in CCK/Teck Whye area preferred.
  3. sorry just to clarify, the end date is 23/5 (friday) or 25/8 (Sunday)? anyway, S$75.00 from me !

  5. Still do'able through the kitchen walls.
  6. second the 2050 location. Can have a drainpipe (fitted with valve) from the tank to the toilet. Just need to turn the valve and water will be discharged. No more messy flexible tube when doing WC. Compressor , topup tank can put in the kitchen. near to toilet, easy to clean/wash or whatever.

  10. i saw some Sexy Shrimps at Henry's Marinelife @ Clementi yesterday.
  11. For your info, i have been cycling my tank for about 6 weeks and until now i have not added any fish yet.
  12. I treat the tap water (for water topup) with rowaphos. Initially rowa media was placed in a filter bag. Have been thinking how to maximize the water contact/flow through the media without running a reactor (no $$$ and due to space constraint).. Finally, I figured this which I think will be equally effective..
  13. Bought this from Daiso. I find it very handy to clean skimmer cup. Just to share with you guys..
  14. wow, time flies... it's been almost 6 weeks since I cycle my tank... Haven't got any test kits to test the parameters, but i guess the tank is more or less cycled. Have to disappoint you guys. My tank still looks empty and I have not added any fish yet. However added couple of corals (Torch and Rics) to test the water. So far all are doing fine. Some cleaning crews were added as well. Like blue-leg hermit, marble starfish. All still survive. Here's there recent tank shot.
  15. anyway, RO/DI is not just to remove chlorine that simple. It involves many water purification stages to create pure H2O aka water. The benefits of using RO/DI water is zero introduction of NO3/PO4 and other harmful substances into your tank. Having said so, i'd suggest you can temporarily forget about RO/DI water. Get the fundamental stuff in place first. For instance, skimmer, lightings, husbandry skills etc.
  16. i'm using those nylon type filter sock. Been running for 1.5 months, not yet clogged. Of course, they are not able to filter those very fine particles like what a mesh sock can. You can get it from Madpetz.
  17. is a brand of the light tube, which is preferred
  18. can try to consider these too if u r on tight budget.
  19. canister and top filter both considered useless in marine tank.. hehe a skimmer will do the job. try to throw a bag of activated carbon into your tank. should be able to remove the smell.
  20. FnM provides free delivery if you purchase 100 bucks or more.
  21. I saw some at Jireh Marine as well. West
  22. As per topic. I was recommended to put biopellets (large granule) in filter bag and place them in the skimmer body.Seems to be a great idea. High flow and can skim off the bacteria. But will that affect the formation of the bubble? or decrease the efficiency of the skimmer? Any one tried before?
  23. the density of bubble, bubble formation, the gunk that deltec mce600 is pulling out. Red Sea Prizm all cannot fight at all.
