after measuring the length of acrylic(5mm thick) needed to be cut, i had it cutted into 40cm by 14cm, 40cm by 15cm. the rest are extras...

thks bro, i was worried abt the bubbles entering into the main tank too. thats why i had a pic of filter media in the place where the water is coming down... i thought this will reduced the amount of bubbles going in. Still i encounter bubbles in the main tank at times... then i try increase the water level near to the rim....still in vain. i believe ur idea make quite a sense there. i'm breaking that piece out of the way. thks man

hi guys, i had upgraded my skimmer to weipro 2011, also added rowa phos(green/brown algae getting lesser) but my nitrate is still measured at 50mg. shld i take out most of the chips?

MANY caulerpas or Mangrove plants. if can, try looking for lime stone. it can reduce nitrate greatly.

hi deadman, I believe u need caulerpa and and strong light on ur refugium. i also had frds whom they collected mangrove plant from the beaches and plane it in their refugium. hope this will help. Happy CNY

hmmm, For the tank, its cost me 5 bucks. brand is five plan. i got it from cash converter. As for the acrylic is i gt FOC from my frd's workshop. u may like to try the hardware shop beside Rainbow at serangoon, they sell cut acrylic to wat size u want. Silicone, i use wesbond ($3.5) as it has acidic cure.

yes u can, u need to get a filing drill from hardware shop. jus tell them its for filing glass. also u need a drill gun too. for cutting, u need a glass cut pen and a few plywood to support it while breaking it. cheers

hi reefers, wonder if u guys noes hows to diy a dehumidifier into a chiller? As i hv a few dehumidifiers from my workshop which was goin to throw away. any reefers whos has the knowledge of Diying it can tell me, so as we can make more. cheers

Glass partition will be better compare to acrylic but cutting of glass are more difficult then arcylic cos u have to be very accurate. ur arcylic is best to be at least 5mm thick for partition. if not, after awhile the the silicone and acrylic will give way for acrylic cutting is easy and safe, jus get a acrylic cutter(looks like a pen knife) and a filing tool from those $1 shop. see here: http://www.sgreefclub.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=44500
