I remember seeing a product review of a new TV technology which is better than Plasma and LCD. It's called D-L-P. That stands for Digital Light Processing and it's a new technology being used inside television sets. It suppose to last longer and the screen is replaceable. Texas Instruments says it's a chip that is essentially like a Pentium inside your computer. This chip, however, reflects light. It has one million tiny mirrors on it that are individually controlled. What these mirrors do is create a TV picture that is very sharp and very clear. D-L-P technology competes with plasma technology. While a plasma set hangs on the wall -- DLP sets are table-top models. D-L-P screens are just as big as plasma TV screens. Sets half the price of plasma ones. I think SAMSUNG have one... check it out.

No need to be sad brother.. You still got COE Rebate+PARF if you scrapped the car (the change should not imapct existing ones). For those who bought after the change, they will lose even more if they scrapped. Imagine at 10 years, they get zero. At 10 years we stil get back our PARF. So now is the best time to buy before they scrapped the PARF. Buy cheap, paper value also cheap.
-
Does that mean the car paper value is no longer COE+PARF? Will lose more money!

Come on Robin, it's more than that. I love your excuses. What happen to "I don't have money now." "I'm a student". "I just spend on ..." and the best of one: "hey bro, i'm sorry....have been quite busy lately with my skimmer...pls keep the pump for me...i definitely won't aeroplane u...even if i dun need it, i will still get it from u...thanks... " I even offer to deliver to your house for goodness sake. I'm lazy?. I'm lazy and tired to hear your excuses. So far, when I buy I always comes and collect from the buyer and not the other way round. You live so near and yet to lazy to come over. Doh! Why can't you just say I don't want it anymore. Simple. I would have understand.

1] Disaster mystery: No dead animals Sri Lankan wildlife officials stunned by lack of carcasses. As the human death toll from Sunday's earthquake and subsequent tsunami continues to skyrocket in Asia, a mystery is unfolding in Sri Lanka. Somehow, the animals survived the disaster. According to reports out of Colombo, Sri Lankan wildlife officials are said to be stunned. "The strange thing is we haven't recorded any dead animals," H.D. Ratnayake, deputy director of the national Wildlife Department, told Reuters. "No elephants are dead, not even a dead hare or rabbit." "I think animals can sense disaster," he added. "They have a sixth sense. They know when things are happening." The sentiment was echoed by Gehan de Silva Wijeyeratne, whose Jetwing Eco Holidays runs a hotel in the Yala National Park, the country's largest wildlife reserve where hundreds of wild elephants dwell along with some 130 other species. "This is very interesting. I am finding bodies of humans, but I have yet to see a dead animal,'' he told the Associated Press. Floodwaters reportedly rushed up to two miles inland at the park, where 41 human bodies have been recovered so far, including 13 foreigners, according to Lanka Business Online. Wildlife officers reportedly found a 13-year-old boy yesterday morning, the only survivor of the tsunami at the park. Wildlife Conservation Director General Dayananda Kariyawasam told the paper except for dead fish, no carcasses of animals have been found. The human death toll in Sri Lanka exceeds 21,000. [2] Bam quake strucked exactly one year ago. The earthquake that killed 36,000 in Bam, Iran, struck exactly one year -- almost to the hour -- before the devastating Sumatra quake this Boxing Day. The 2003 quake hit at 01:56:52 UTC, while the 2004 quake struck at 00:58:55 UTC – exactly one year, 58 minutes apart. [3] Why Thais avoided tsunami warning: Meteorologists decided against it 'out of courtesy to tourist industry' Thailand's foremost meteorologists, meeting in a crisis session before the tsunami hit, decided not to issue a warning "out of courtesy to the tourism industry," according to a report in the Thai paper The Nation. Minutes after the earthquake in the Indian Ocean Sunday morning, Thailand's top meteorological experts met to consider the danger posed to the coast. But the economic impact on the nation's tourism industry dissuaded them from warning those most in danger. According to the report, the experts considered the fact that there had not been any dangerous floods in 300 years. There was a consensus that the Indonesian island of Sumatra would be a "cushion" for the southern coast of Thailand. The experts also reportedly believed the quake was an 8.1 on the Richter scale, rather than a 9.0. A similar sized quake hit the same area in 2002 with no flooding at all, according to the report. Among the meteorological experts, only four had expertise in earthquakes, according to The Nation. "We finally decided not to do anything because the tourist season was in full swing," a source told the paper. "The hotels were 100 percent booked. What if we issued a warning, which would have led to an evacuation, and nothing had happened. What would be the outcome? The tourist industry would be immediately hurt. Our department would not be able to endure a lawsuit."

2. We have observed that your online forum page has frequent advertisements offering ornamental fishes for sale. There are also postings offering to buy fishes. We would like to advise that the individuals who post advertisements to sell fish on your forum page may be committing an offence under Section 48 of the Animals and Birds Act 2002 which states that no person shall keep in captivity for sale, export or exhibition any animal or bird in any place that has not been licensed. This one indicate that you need license to sell ornamental fish and corals. Only shops have that. Any of our LFS sponsors willing to take our fish/corals to sell on our behalf? Of course they get a bit of commission lah..

Singapore IDol FInal.**unpredictable**
yazid replied to giantbicycle's topic in General Reefkeeping_
The fact that Taufik got 62% vote shows that Singaporean do appreciate quality vocal talent. Most Singer are not succesful in their own country but have to work hard outside the country to make their own name. Most fails. Now that the whole of Singapore know and acknowledged Taufik as the Singapore Idol. Don't you think marketing in Singapore will be much easier. Having your local fan based support here in Singapore will help him spur even further. Let's see how far Taufik will go. I last bought a Madonna album in the late 80's. After so many years, I think I'll be the first few to buy Taufik album. -
Never had the problem since I switched to using Hager Timer and Contactor.
