Trust me I'm a real life example (I'm not boasting merely stating facts) I've 2 Ex GF and including my current one r all from All Girls school, first one from Cedar (2yrs), 2nd one from RGS(6mths) current one from STC(6yrs and still going stroong), whereas I was from a rowdy neighbourhood school and my current highest quali is only O Levels as I failed my A levels and din wanna waste time hence went to NS and after came out to work till now I'm already 27yrs old... And my current GF of 6yrs+ have been with me all these while, seen thru really thick and thin days and yes she's a graduate with honours... So I guess the bottom line here is fate and faith, I'm a strong believer in fate and I'm a even bigger fan of faith & Love, strong faith & love can see u thru any situations, it can definitely tame any wild child or "Extreme Feminist" as I would put it...

Hi guys, I'm intending to concentrate on my current 2footer as I've major space constraints I can't upgrade to a 3ft tank as yet... so I need to make my current 2footer super stable and "crash-safe" hence I'm intending to have a sump+refugium for the 2footer... as such I need lotsa advice and pics of the sumps u guys have as a reference... Pls post pics of ur sump or refugium or both in this thread... once again thanks in advance PS. Dear Mod pls help me move this thread if I'm posting it in the wrong forum

izzit possible to show the pics to a hardware shop and ask them for the parts or ask them to cut, join and glue it together? I wanna use it on my 2ft main tank and 2ft sump tank too but I'm a technical idiot

since we're on the topic of wooden airstone skimmer, just a qn... my wooden airstone skimmer collection cup is collecting alot of water... I dun think that's normal... I followed the instructions and place the "head" or collection cup above water level... or is my wooden airstone producing too much bubbles?

Hi Hobbes, thanks for the quick reply Was thinking of a skimmer but can't decide on which one, plus the space constraint that I've I actually do have macro algae in the tank itself, got 2 fist size rock of them... and as for the moving water surface I think my hang on filter took care of that... Redsea Prizm skimmer if I'm not wrong, I was quoted $190 at C328 last nite... or shld I just construct another compartment and use it as a refugium/skimmer/filtration area?

Hi guys, my current 2'x1'x1.2' nano tank has been running for 3mths plus now but somehow I feel that its still not up to "standard"... as in I feel that I'm not providing enough filtration for the tank... its technical specs as follows: Tank: 2'x1'x1.2' Filtration: HOB Skimmer: Nil Lighting: 1x55w PLL & 2 x 30w Marine L (1 blue 1 white) I've quite a heavy bioload in my tank and I've been looking at all the available skimmers in the market that caters for nano tank but still feels that its not enough... as some of u might know I've a huge space constraints, hence I'm unable to get a big skimmer or provide a similarly sized sump for it... I've only a space of 9"x30cmx1.2'(H) space to work with right beside the tank (which is on a Ikea shelf) so I was thinking of constructing a "Sump/EOS" for it... any ideas on how I shld go abt doing it? I was thinking of 3 compartments, 1st compartment in front will be the skimmer and return outlet, 2nd will be a refugium, 3rd and last compartment at the back will be bio filter... will it work? As for the skimmer I was thinking of getting the Jebo Hang on filter ###### skimmer as I'm low on budget or is there any other skimmer I can use? Any suggestions and advise will be greatly appreciated

need some help from bros using a simple air driven skimmer... I just got 1 for my 2ft tank as I was thinking "do I really need expensive skimmer" but I've to confess my bioload is quite high for a 2fter... anyway I setup the skimmer and followed the instructions on the box but the collection cup "flood" very easily, is that normal? I thot its suppose to have just foam... any kind bros pls advise

yo hobbes u can trying using a light diffuser aka eggcrate and cut into the desired shape to hold the ice probe on ur tank... hmmm maybe I shld get a ice probe for my tank too... does it has temp control? And how cool is ur tank now? And what skimmer r u using?

oh I did actually I feed it a small pc of market prawn... hmmm so its ok lar? (sigh I did like 2 mths of reading and researching and I din read anything on expelling waste sighz think I old liao need a better specs ) Anyway the sand anemone is less mobile compared to the Rose Anemone that I've, which is moving all over the tank (now its more or less fixed on a spot) is that normal?

I bought a anemone (think the uncle said its a sand anemone, its yellow base with purple tip)... anyway yesterday when I put it in the tank it was fine, but today it sorta shrank abit and there's some black stuff coming out from the mouth area... and my clown fish r pulling the black stuff out... could it be dying?
