  1. Nice healthy fishes and corals... To help him, please bring bags cos he really don't have.. And who know, you might be getting extra lifestock after seeing his tank.
  2. Or so fast hand itchy already after clearing your tank? Maybe can't get used to the empty space..
  3. Hi Fish Guru, Can help me ID this wrasse. Is it reef safe? Also what is the price like? This post has been promoted to an article
  4. Thanks. Cos my tank is 2.5ft high and i ran out of socket space at the side thus the cable will need to run into the cabinet. By the way, the pic look quite dim for the blue led just looking at the led alone. Do you have a picture showing the led on the tank itself. I am considering yours as my current moonlight is kind of too bright.
  5. Hi bro, what is the length of the electrical cable?
  6. Agree with lemon & kikobananas. Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. Most important is you like it.
  7. Nice tank, bro. Can't see the firefish. Is the purple or red firegoby?
  8. Agreed with Allan.. Actually depends on your needs.. Anything from 26deg to 28deg are fine.. A old chiller temperature thread here for you. Cheers.
  9. That's why he say if you got more money mah..
  10. Tested it again.. within 10mins.. "Phew" Maybe that day when i tested, the room was still warm, probably after the chiller just turn off..
  11. Thanks triggerfish.. so yours took 10mins.. Look like in Spore weather <5min is unachievable.. but mine still a bit too long whopping 25mins. (maybe my room too warm) Any more brothers to confirm this observations?? BTW, what capacity is your chiller.. mine is 1/5HP
  12. Did anyone tried this Arctica troubleshooting guide Static Test before? BTW, 60F = 15.6degC Can share with me.. I am still troubleshooting if my chiller is functioning properly. Mine too ~25mins instead of the stated 5mins. THANKS if anyone can take the trouble to test his arctica. My is a 1/5HP. Static Test Performing a Static Test will allow the chiller to operate without any external factors such as heat load from equipment, volume load of water capacity, or pump water flow. The main purpose of this test is to establish that the controller, relay, fan motor, compressor, and temp probe are in working order without being linked to the actual tank set up. Step 1 Turn off the pump that flows through the chiller This test only requires the small amount of water already within the heat exchanger. Step 2 Program the controller to 60F for the set point Press the up or down arrow and hold until the number starts to blink, then release and press the down arrow until the temperature on the controller reads 60F and then release. It will blink and then the temperature will show a solid color. It is now set to 60F; it will take approximately 5 minutes or less for a functioning chiller to bring the temp down to 60F due to the small amount of water volume in the heat exchanger.
  13. Hi apple123, The left hand side does look bleached. So your pinkish refer to LHS and dark brown is RHS? If that the case, you Then you should be happy..
  14. Thanks.. Dunno why miss the thread.. :chair:
  15. Where is Ktizo marine. In Pasir Ris? If going toward Iwarna from the Pinnacle, is it before Ah Beng or after? and on which of the road? Cos only know Ah Beng, Iwarna, Pinnacle and the Auntie in front of Ah Beng. Also hope to see the WINNING photos? Sorry i didn't have time to go down on Sunday.
  16. So nice of you... Bro, where do you stay? Need to plan my trip over..
  17. Can call up Victor to check. I believe they do such service. For massive water change, it is ~$90. With your scaping, my GUESS will be in the range of ~$180.
  18. Tank size 3x2x2.5, Sump 2.5x1.5x1.5(water only 1 ft high) Calculated volume = 600liters if minus LR maybe minus 15% water volume = 510liters. Chiller is Arctica 1.5HP. No change in setting. Don't know what really gone wrong. Did anyone tried this troubleshooting guide STEP2 before? I tried.. It take a whopping 25minutes instead of 5minutes. Is it the guide is meant for temperate countries not tropical countries like Singapore Arctica Troubleshooting
  19. Hi guys, Just want to check yesterday how much long your chiller had been running each time when it kick in. Reason is my chiller running almost double the time to cool down the tank yesterday. Example normally, 1.5hours but yesterday it took 3 hours. Do you guys experience the same or my chiller dying soon.. Hopes not!!
  20. They did not die... They just grow and shed their shell.. You will soon see the shell of your shrimps too (maybe a month time)..
