By the way, I think BFG is trying to suggest that reefer seldom use MCE600 for tank larger than 3ft though. Most reefer use it up to 3ft tank only. But if you tank had no sump and no way to house an external skimmer, this Hang on skimmer is one of the largest rated one (to my limited knowledge).

Hi Bro, If I visualise correctly from your description. You are trying to install the skimmer by sliding in the skimmer through the side of your tank and NOT by the top down for all hang on? Sideway, the only obstruction is the inlet of the skimmer. This inlet elbow (item 18 & 19) is removable. The attachment can be found on the manufacturer website too. MCE600sparelist.pdf

Your clown fish must be damn huge. The large fire shrimp that i saw at Ah Beng (and i believe for LCK too) are almost 1.75inch size. By the way, anyone know the xenia at IWARNA are from where? They are slightly blueish one that is in the 2nd row tank.

Sorry, hijack the thread. Anyone staying in Choa Chu Kang area getting constant big bottle distilled water? Can get from you at 1~2 bottles per month? Used for top-up only as i use NSW for water change. Had been using 1.5liters bottles currently. Its NOT environmentally friendly as had been I discarding the empty bottles.

If the tank is cycling, I wouldn't care too much about the cloudiness from the sand. It will settle down after a day or two. Just remember to lift up the rock above the sand so that minimal rock is buried in the sand. Above is my opinion.. still learning to reef though..
