  1. no..no still smaller than rhizo.. Rhizo is HUGE. I had seen super sun with about 50c closed size that opens to almost 3inch diameter. But not to be envious, frequent feeding make them grows fast and BIG.
  2. I was there at the almost the last hr last time. Not so much for chiong-ing the lelong but my schedule just doesn't fit. End up, some shops already closed or in the mist of closing, so nothing much to view but got some lelong. However, the competition tanks are the last to be tear down... so not that bad either.. Thus it really depends on what you want.
  3. oh... 50c size is before open or after open?
  4. Wait till you have normal cleaner shrimp. They are the WORST lot.. Sometimes, i really hope to tear my cleaner apart when feeding my super suns.
  5. 3 weeks ago, I saw their staff buying NSW from Jireh.. Hmmm... not sure if the LS are also from Jireh..
  6. At first, when i look at the title and author. My first thoughts were: Oh no........ What happened?! Opening the thread to read the details was: Finally.. Yeah, still got weekly PHOTOS updates from CFOh Thanks.. Then lastly, my thread is Upz for your friend...
  7. nice big tank... camping for the next month when you stock up..
  8. If I remember correctly.. This article is for fun only.. No Power Red Tang exist..
  9. Nice supersuns.... I love the big sunnies... From the recent Iwarna shipment?
  10. Depends actually.. I used to have 2 red fire goby and then added bicolour blenny > ok. I added another 2 purple goby.. bicolour blenny chase them like hell. But if based on our sequence. Fire goby before blenny, chances are highly ok..
  11. Nice tank and cabinet... but i didn't see any ventilation slits at your cabinet doors. No cooling problems for your chiller?
  12. Iwarna, LCK201 all selling $2 per 20 litres, you bring your own jerry can. CF at $4, might need to add GST, depends on auntie.. Iwarna, Ah Beng do sell by packets, also $2 each. Jireh do sell NSW inclusive of jerry cans but I dunno the price. Maybe $14 or so...
  13. Hi CFOh, Doing up any reef food again?? Interested in getting yours..
  14. Hi bro, How do it connect it such that chiller on-fan on? I wanted to do but no knowledge. End up had to on 24hrs for the fan.
  15. Ya. was thinking of that too. Take note the shop that is nearer to the coffee shop is closed on SUN, unless you are going to the 24hrs one.
  16. Hi bro, not too well versed in chemistry. But I believe that the precipitate could be some form of impurities. Even if it is NaOH as suggested, personally, I won't add vinegar just to get the small amount of precipitate into solution. I would just discard the precipitate or pour everything into tank, but definitely not adding vinegar. My 2cents.
  17. Hi All, Actually to read the pump chart. Layman terms.. Headloss = vertical distance. Which means if the outlet is at 2m high, your L40 will output only 700liters/hour based on a very important assumption: There are no twists, no bends and no horizontal piping and no loss from the resistance in the pipe size. Smaller (diameter) pipe = more resistance. In other words, Pump just output to a vertical pipe and runs 2m high. If the height is 0m while the horizontal distance is 2m, it will definitely output more than 700l/hour but less than 2800l/hr. This is more technical.. If the height and horizontal distance is 0m, only will the L40 output 2800l/hr. Losses in flowrate comes from piping distance, elbows and height. Most losses come from height.
  18. Actually, you don't need remove from sump. Just turn off the feeder/chiller pump and see if the temperature decreases.
  19. When i saw your post. I am thinking of the following: Got big family to feed..
  20. So sorry.. Its taken.
  21. Check that there are no trapped air bubbles at the valve that you control the water flow. Also check the top of the inverted "U", typical the black cap where the air tubing is also without trapped bubbles. Somehow, with bubbles there, the water flow will have more turbulence and it will cause micro-bubbles issue.
  22. Hi bro, Had you been using this skimmer for 1yr plus or just started? I had been using it for the whole of last year, the skimmate is not a lot but ok for 2 ft. As for fine bubbles going into the tank. It can be due to the water level in the skimmer is too high. You need to tune it to be at the neck. However, if it had always been at the neck, the fine bubbles could be after feeding of frozen food. Should goes off in 1hr plus. That is from my experience. Lastly, most important, the skimmer need regular cleaning for the collection cup. The buildup of the waste at the place above the neck, the inverted "cone" area need to be clean at least once a week.
  23. Looks like 1.5inch instead of 1.5cm.
