Currently my tank is having the following parameters : Cal :420 PH :8.2 KH : 7 meq/L = 19.6 KH Mag : 1230 Understand to color up the sps - the higher the KH the better it is . I just want to know if the KH is alright. I am using seachem test kit. It says that 1 meq/L is equal to 2.8 KH meaning 19.6 KH. Isn't that freaking high ? Keeping a only few SPS to try out and LPS. Any comments welcome.

For one there is no forum for you to complain or consult !!!! 5) Braced yourself tight for the 3 SOLID MONTHS in CALIFONIA GYM . The tough bit is just the 3 months of Basic Mental Torture but if you are mentally prepared, the game is yours. Do your best dude ! You only have one chance in your life.

Hi jc85, Don't mind I asking ...for 72 hours of break in for a beckett skimmer is pretty long isn't it ? I am saying this because .... usu they start skimming almost like 2 to 3 hours later ? I mean I am not talking about there are alot of oily stuff on the beckett or what ! Correct me if I am wrong.

Maybe alternative is to buy DC pump and a DC operated skimmer using wooden air stone but again leh chek lah .. So far I never anything come across any water pump operate via batt ! air pump yes. Anybody ?

I think if it is possible - you could try to setup a partition between your kitchen and your tank so that even if worse scenarios you have to cook the smoke will not get into the room. Looking at your plan you might need to move your door position if there is not enough space to build a partition. I think no one will dare to tell you that the weight is ok because 6 x 2 x 2.5 is a hugh tank and since AP already brought up that you need a permit if the tank is bigger than 4 ft. Either you chose to have a permit or trust your gut feel ....
