Depend how you look at it ... that's why i said the becasue of current biz development ... they are all toward the chinese. who says english songs cannot sell ? I said you must have certain qualities to make it big in english songs. They succeeded becasue this guy wrote his own song "Jane" (if i recalled correctly) - the only number that become popular. He wrote a good song ...which is why he succeed, other of his songs didn't really make it. These are the desired quality to make it big.

Notice from those past performer that singaporean do not take softrock type ... Look at tanya .... she started out as a soft rock image ... and there were very few fans ...later she switch to more decent chinese song which gain wider public acceptance. Taufik deserved to win for this competition but it is very tough for him now with one year contract ... maybe he sing malay song .. there might be some hope ...even with malay song ... do you think the neighbouring country will buy the records ... they have better singer if you watch the malaysia idol. They might as well support their own idol. I have a colleague whose daughter is working in a local company which produce stars like 5566 etc... their target market are all chinese ....they understand the chinese demands and the taste. Their market covers the entire asia market. They occassionally source for chinese talent who got the look and the voice. This might be one example ... but there might be some other which i might not be awared. from my perception, to succeed as a singer for local context: 1) Preferably chinese (not being racist but there is where the current biz development) 2) You must have the look ( cute type from the past history) 3) You must be a female (it is easier to market a female than a male singer from the survey) These are based on chinese market. Maybe the English market is totally different ... just be a good song writer ...some more if it is a male ... either you look damn handsome ( seldom last as some pointed out ) ... or your musical intrucement talent is impressive or ... you are a good song writer ... i think for guys forget about having good voice to succeed .......it is a different ball game altogether. Most of the english songs dont required you to have good voice .... you just need a unique voice which can built an identity easily with the correct type of songs. Bon jovi ... bryan adams .. rock stewart ... their voice sucks ... but the songs arrangment ....wins hearts all over the world.

Anybody using the AB bulb ... understand they are abit bluish or whitish.

Yah .... millipora have shorter polyp and the corallite is also shorter which gave it a scaly look I think. Very painful - when dont know the name ... everytime refer to blue sps .. pink sps ...

Nice scaping .... looks very wide .... though it is just 2 feet. Did you just stack the rocks along the back of the wall or you use some other material at the back ?

I am using 14K Phoenix bulb - the growth ... varies. Eg. digi and millipora growth was noticeable. The color I am quite satisfied.. I am still seeing some of my sps changing their color slowly. But the PAR really cannot compare to BLV ... was thinking of blasting my sps with another MH bulb. Only yesterday I change to 10K BLV to see the difference..I am still monitoring the color change.

New addition about 1 month now. The blue tips are the only color I see when I first bought .... Anybody care to Id ?

Nice piece you got there ..I have one similar piece with same shade of green and blue ... but the polyp extends like crazy... mine the coralite is different.

You can populate your tank with more colorful mushrooms - make it a mushroom species tank

Sometimes when you change water and pour in immediately ... you will notice some LS die off. Especially the tiny crabs - they will be the first sign of trouble.

You wanna to tell us what is the parameters, how big is your tank and the other spec. like lighting etc .. ?

It is great to hear of school embarking on challenging project but Genetic Engineering is not something to be taken lightly. Have you read about the article on the luminious fish injected with the jelly like substance to make them glow in the dark. Several country have ban the product eg. US, Thailand, Singapore ... what happen if they cross breed to other species of coral .... one day this coral might become a predator of some sort which could wipe out other species. Genetic engineering required a lot of time to study the impact of the coexistence of species - it may takes more than the time spent in secondary school. Conservation, Commercial Gain, Genetic Engineering are 3 Totally different game. I think it will be better off if you pick one of the first 2 at least you dont get so much fires

It is a nice car.. except the build quality is not there yet. Try opening the hatch at the rear and then shut it .... you can hear a filmsy vibration UNderstand can't expect much since it is dirt cheap compared to other brand. I think overall Hyundai is picking up fast except the fuel consumption - not so easy to improve.

Just saw an imppressive Blue carpet - very big ... at the LFS opp ten mile junction. The color is abit faded .. but if you put it under strong Mh it should color up. The size of this guy is very big about 12 inch across and it is not fully expanded yet. I was very tempted to buy it but it is too big - I couldn't accomodate it. So if any one is keen ...go take a look.

yah agree it is very rare to see such a color. Probably cost more than an arm or a leg in singapore
