  1. Bro .... I think alot of them knows that car sure loose money ... but to loose so much in such a short time is really heart-breaking... I think there is 2 factor here .. one is the COE and the other is the loan which tied you in ... . that dont let you change car so easily .. Currently the bank charge another 20% rebate for termination of loan ... whereas in the pass under rule 78 there is already a penalty calculated into the formula ...eg. car buyer buy a toyotas vios now and sells it 1 year later - .... he will have to pay the penalty of 20% interest rebate + interest Rebate penalty which already comes with the formula R = n(n+1)/Lt(Lt+1) x Total interest. But understand that this applies to certain loan amount above 55K I think ... That's explain why not many people will not be changing car so fast ... other than COE fluctuation... there is also the bank loan charges ... But look like the COE fluctuation kills alot of car dealer ....
  2. But if there is no PARF so it means that new car price should be even cheaper .. so those bought earlier will not be able to sell their car .......... sounds we are taken for a ride .... Beside that the COE is sliding fast - those who like myself paid 30+ COE ... imagine depreciation based on COE is already 3 K /year and now it is half of that for new car ....... I heard about PARF benefit slowly decreasing but not so soon as in this year. This is something new.
  3. Yah I think after the CNY is going to hit rock bottom ....... so your dream is coming true .... Heard from some car dealer that Toyotas did not place their bids for the recent bidding. That's why the COE so low ... but don't know true or not .... or just wanna force innocent consumer to place their order ..... countercheck with a Toyotas SE ... ... it is true that alot of SE did not bid ...as they are holding alot of open cat COE ....... so does it means they are bundling the open cat to those new buyers ?
  4. Do you think that the COE will drop any further ? Personally I foresee it will hit 10K very soon.
  5. Bro ....your tank look like blue lagoon ... now The first piece looks very similar to your favorite piece .... but the color just looks very different..... I got the same problem also ... the side looks brown ... but I am supplementing with T5 otherwise most of time if view from the side ...also not shiok
  6. That's a tri-color monti. Nice piece ...Jimmy. Bro, you are so on the ball ... start sourcing in the states .... I thought I have seen quite alot of those in the net also. How did you bring them in ? Got the chance to go the states ...but not sure how the procedure .... Let me know when frag time ....
  7. My silbing gave a ###### package to my auntie - she is 85 years old . She was very delighted.... You might want to try it out - Though it can't make them looks younger but it makes them FEELS younger ....
  8. Try to move it to a low flow area with some shade and observed if there is any improvement. Favites dont need high flow - they come from low to mid flow. And they dont really like alot of lights ...from my observations. I might be wrong.
  9. Be careful when you take sea water - there are alot of mantis shrimp larva sometimes and all kind of funny hydroids ..... unless your net is small enough to capture all those unwanted pest < 200 micron net I had a mantis shrimp boom before ... I used to collect sea water around labrador park area ... but not worth it....so more salt water so corrosive ... might corrode your car boot area if you are not careful .... Should run your tank with UV if you are doing that.
  10. Is blue milli rare ? I thought they were quite common - not sure about now as I have stopped buying sps for a while .... I prefer frag exchange nowsaday .....and have lot of variety in my nano tank .... Looking for birdnest frag or pink stag ..or some tricolor ... but if you have green ones - provided I dont have ... currently already have one turquoise, lime green and one dark green.. I think green is quite nice if have different combination.. AT, Can we tell by the color of the milli whether it is indo or Fiji ?
  11. You are dead right some tank can't keep montipora - mime is one of them My other sps grows faster than the Monti cap. for the entire 3 to 4 month - not sure what is the reason..... maybe it got some thing to with water too clean ...- not sure whether it is true. Any Zeovit user got any problem keeping monti ? DA, My blue milli is also blue and pink like yours but when you placed under strong lights it will turn blue ... When I had it directly under 14k 250W - it was blue - no pink at all .but then other coral also need strong light so play around the configuration ... now the inner part turns pink whereas the branches facing out are blue.
  12. I used to have 2 piece of milli for some time one red and the other blue. Recently, I changed my cal reactor and some of the parameter varies daily during tuning - Both sps RTN - but the rest of my acro looks fine. The red milli didn't make it. The blue one has recovered so far. Looks like they are more sensitive to water parameter. My KH was changing slightly like 2 KH during the tunning phase. So I suspect your cal level might be the main culprit. If I am not wrong your sps should have RTN/STN during the time when you are adjusting your cal or KH level.
  13. Understand that the red mangrove suck up your magnesium level. So have to be cautious as it will affect PH, Cal and KH. And think about the typical size of a marine tank. Usu 1 mangrove for 20 litres of sea water. So you can imagine how many mangrove you need. Happy reefing.
  14. Looks like the fengshui this year not very good... my fengshui master happens to be my brother-in-law who works full-time. He told me not to put my tank in the balcony area whereas 5 years back he says it is ok .... i was telling myself lucky i didn't carried any major renovation for the tank otherwise iwould have to tore it down. But he told me this time round it will be for 20 years. I am really puzzled. But agreed with Roidan that if you follow it too closely ... your life might be control by it. But sometimes when you see family members falling sick - you just want to do something about it. It is very personal and subjective. In fact in the begining of the year, i have been warned of health related issue. i took it very lightly - in the begining of the year my family members took turns to fall sick - though all are minor issue. I am still in the junction of whether to believe or not. FIY - my brother-in-law is a famous fengshui master whom appear in radio and TV.
  15. Try not to use quartz sand - as silica is present in the sand you might have a aglae boom later on. Use those coral sand - they come in different grades from 0 (finest )onwards. Try not to use the grade 0 sand as they are too fine - you will encountered problem after some time... because you can't clean them properly. Happy reefing.
  16. Perhaps technology in measuring Tsunamis are still backdated which resulted in inaccuracy in the analysis. The fault line of 1000 km ... imagine how many times the size of singapore and 30m high ,.. how much water it could have displaced. Maybe we should use animals instead .....
  17. Somehow missed your reply. Thanks HuiWen.
  18. I also have one piece sitting in my store room, bought from Hong Kong - if you are interested Pm me. Selling cheap.
  19. Read from somewhere in the french Reef community that some guy are running their DE even without the UV filter - to get good colors
  20. You can try a addon called spambayer. It works with Ms outlook. It is very good about 99% accuracy but there is some bug on the config portion the last I tried it. It works very very well I would say. You can try to find it on google.
  21. Imagine 5g of food waste is enough to push your PO4 level by 0.1 mg.
  22. Usu it is due to Light intensity - when I use 250MH 10K - I have this problem more frequent so need to be cautious about feeding but when I use 14K - this problem disappeared. I am trying to cut down on mysis and BS as I believe the water in there contains alot of nitrate and PO4. when I tried using pellet i also have less diatom growth. For me my tank size is only 2 ft with Tunze and RO/DI water - skimmer also oversize like nobody biz - i still experience this. Hope it helps.
