  1. One fist sized german blue montipora digitata on auction. Will add a great touch of blue to any reef tank and a fast grower too. The colony now has a lot more branches than what is shown in this pic which was taken some time ago. Beginning bid: $35 Minimum bid increment: $1 Bid ends on 16 Sept 2014 at 2359 hours.
  2. Viceroy gets the coral with the highest bid. Sorry Raymondteo you missed the auction deadline by one minute. I will arrange with Viceroy for collection. The moderators may close this thread now. Thank you to all participants.
  3. Have a 6 inch diameter (when all polyps are full) green frogspawn LPS coral for sale. Grown for 2.5 years into a healthy specimen. Collect in Sengkang. Start bid: $30 Min increment: $1 Auction to end at 8 September at 11:59 PM.
  4. An excellent over-grown look SPS dominant tank - I like it!
  5. Once I found something that worked for me, I stuck to it without attempting to chase the latest methods or trends. I found a remark by a reefer made in an American forum to be very thoughtful - to have a successful reef tank, COPY what those tank owners do.
  6. Thank you sir. All of us including myself are learning everyday as we look at the inhabitants in our glass boxes and at others as well.
  7. Thanks gambits Several of the sps corals are actually touching or even growing around or encrusting each other. My own carelessness resulted in my blue tort frag being burnt 50% by a table millepora due to encroachment and my kit Kat acropora meeting it's demise as a result of being squeezed between an a.prostrata and an encrusting montipora. Depending on species, I believe that relocation of some sps corals would need to happen as they grow. The staghorn acropora species are the best in terms of compatability as they tolerate each other without outright warfare resulting in burns and Stn/rtn.
  8. Simple until it's almost boring at times hehe
  9. Actually there isn't much of a rock scape as I didn't use a lot of rocks. A large portion of the scape is actually formed by the corals themselves as they grew.
  10. Thank you sir. I am hoping to achieve an over grown tank look and still have some years to go.
  11. It's coralline growth - time to take out the scraper yikes!
  12. Tank photo taken as of today http://s1205.photobucket.com/user/bellion1973/media/July%202014%20tank%20photos/Tank7July2014_zps6ee15dd9.jpg.html'>
  13. Unless they are commensal crabs for SPS corals, I would personally avoid putting any other crabs in a SPS dominated tank due to crabs' unpredictable and predatory behaviour and feeding habits.
  14. I have a medium sized (6 inches in diameter) acropora valida with a whitish cream base and purple tips for sale if you are interested. It's browned out except for some tips due to it being shaded by one of my table acros. However, it's an easy and hardy SPS coral which recovers colours quickly. Let me know if you are interested via PM.
  15. Great problem to have re quicker SPS coral growth. A calcium reactor is the only remedy to sustain your current SPS coral growth rate. However, you can combine both the calcium reactor with your current dosing regime. Hence, you could use a smaller calcium reactor model and locate it outside your tank cabinet.
  16. Personally, I have tried a few bacterial-based dosing systems and the Zeovit system has provided my reef tank the best results.
  17. Hello James, If you change 36 liters of saltwater every week instead of fortnightly, you will witness even more positive changes in your corals.
  18. No, I am no longer using the Ultralith system. I am currently using the Zeovit system.
  19. I have used the Ultralith system for 16 months and the results become obvious (improved colouration, extended polyp extension, faster growth) from the 3rd month onwards. Pair the Ultralith system with the 3 bottles of Reef Color Elements and you are on the way to a pretty looking tank, particularly if you keep SPS corals.
  20. ClementC, Are you dosing your additives manually or with an auto dosing pump?
  21. Sad. Interesting to see that Australian sps corals are the rage nowadays compared to our good old days of cheonging Fiji sps corals.
