  1. The zoas are fire and ice if you are interested. I have a red bird's nest coral and a pink one at the top rear of the tank.
  2. Thanks for the compliments. Will take photos with a DSLR soon.
  3. Took a current full tank shot with my iphone 5 camera, please excuse the slightly poor quality of this photo.
  4. Regarding the Fauna marin amino acids, start off with 1 ml per day and gradually work your way up to the recommended dosage as per the instruction label. Amino acids promote longer and fuller sps polyp extension but can quickly increase algae growth and darker sps colours if overdosed. Are you carbon dosing?
  5. Good to see the superman montipora danae sitting nicely on your rockwork.
  6. The blue millepora you bought from GO is a beauty. Milleporas are relatively fast growers as far as acroporas go if your parameters are spot on. The blue variety needs a bit more light compared to the green and yellow ones (they prefer lighting with a bluer spectrum e.g. 20kk) and naturally, good random flow is necessary.
  7. Good hardware. I am waiting for some new tank pics
  8. Reef depot does not stock zeovit products anymore. I suggest you go to this german website called sewatec and order from them as they carry zeovit products and ship worldwide.
  9. The Fiji bird's nest coral is the ultimate for bird's nest lovers as it grows in a very nice round shape with great colouration. Good buy for all bird's nest lovers. Too bad you can't frag your lovely blue staghorn.
  10. One is definitely insuffcient for an SPS dominated tank or even a mixed reef tank for that matter. Strong, intermittent flow is a must for sps coral health and vitality. I can't comment on the MP40 as I don't use it myself. You could try one tunze 6105 and 1 MP40 and observe if all your sps coral polyps are waving at least moderately.
  11. Three would be fine for a tank of your size provided it's not too heavily stocked and have less rocks. 4 would be preferable if you intend to have a dense forest of SPS corals and lots of rocks.
  12. Light blue with orange polyps. Kept it for several months with good encrusting growth. 55 bucks for a colony which is 3/4s the size of your palm. Please PM me if you are keen.
  13. That's great - much less chances of introducing pests into your tank. It reminds me of a recent Reef Central TOTM (TonyB) who utilizes very little rockscaping.
  14. The real yellow ones would be 100% pure yellow for body, corallites and polyps. Haven't come across any so far but will certainly share if I ever do.
  15. Hello Cedric, with its greenish polyps, I think it resembles the sunset mille more.
  16. Please drop me a PM if you wish to purchase a frag. Thanks.
  17. Well acclimatized and growing for months in my tank. Brilliant yellow colour with orange corallites and green polyps. TWO frags for sale. FCFS and no reservation. Drop by my place and collect. 35 dollars per frag - I will frag it on the spot.
  18. No rocks in the tank? Cool unique approach! SPS look great. Are you using any bacterial or probiotic methods?
  19. Thanks and you are very welcome to view my tank in person. I haven't measured my calcium levels in months - the last test done came out at 400 ppm. As long as growth is shown, I take it that calcium levels are adequate but don't follow my lazy ways as this is not good reefing practice
  20. Good stuff and progress, Lawrence. Mike, you might want to relocate your real deal echinata piece to a high light location as this will make the body turn white and the blue tips have a brighter colouration. I have a frag of it which I place at a lower mid point of my tank but I can't place it higher due to a lack of available space.
  21. There have been numerous discussions online regarding this matter and the one that resonates with my opinion is that dkh levels of 6.5-8 and ULNS nutrient levels approximate NSW levels. Thus, dkh levels that are not in this range would cause tissue loss.
  22. Stop dosing alkalinity buffer solutions for 12 hours and test your dkh value. That would be your barometer in determining what is your carbonate consumption on a per day basis.
  23. As long as your sps has good colouration and growing, I don't see any need to alter your dkh levels.
