  1. How it looks after I relocate it to a darker spot at the lower of the tank;
  2. Thanks guys. Guess I think what Limbssq refers that 'incurrent siphon hole' as 'incurrent siphon gaping' that makes me worried as Gaping...So it's just a hole for the water inlet right? Can I said my clam (as shown in the photos) shows no sign of gaping?
  3. Thanks guys for all the advise. Will keep monitoring.
  4. Sorry I'm a bit confused now. Isn't your hole the same as my hole - so this hole is called Gaping?
  5. That's a great relief! But any pic to show what is gapping? Thanks.
  6. Thanks for the info. How long does it takes for a clam to stick to a LR in terms of weeks?
  7. Thanks for the advise. It already attached to a small piece of rock when I bought it and will it attach to the LR again? If yes, that means I got to think carefully where to place as once attached, believed I can't remove it again. BTW any idea on Gapping?
  8. 1. ID; Is this a Croceas or Squamosa? 2. Positioning; - If this is a Squamosa, is placing on the sandbed the only way? - Anyway, can this clam be placed on the LR so that it can get more lights? I'm using 3xT5s over a standard 2ft tank, where height of tank is 11" and minus sandbed thickness it should be less than 10". - If I place it on a LR, will it drop down? I've placed it on a sandbed vertically yesterday with the little rock attached to it burried in the sand, but this morning itself moves out and shifted to one side as shown below; - Do I need to move it back to vertically again? 3. Gapping; After reading thru this forum and others, I still do not fully understand the true meaning of gapping. 2 main description of gapping I found; - Same if the clam is gaping... ie. when you touch them, they don't close up tight but gape. http://www.sgreefclub.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=254 - gaping means the that the siphon hole is very very enlarged... and the tissue is stretched so tight, it looks like it's gonna tear. The mantle would usually be receded. http://www.sgreefclub.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=10611 So does Gapping means that the clam don't close up tightly but leave a gap in between the shells or the bigger hole in between as shown in below (arrow pointing); Sorry for asking so many questions. Thanks in advance.
  9. Hi bro, can tell where you get this $4 zoo?
  10. I read that it's not necessary to feed each and individual polyp and thus I didn't bother to feed one by one polyp. Anyway eyesight also no good hehe. So far so good.
  11. Thanks Hotlemond, will check it out next week.
  12. Hi MWang, Yes, I used the tank water and mixed the cyclopeez (once a week will be frozen mysis shrimp) in it. Then used the syringe and tube to target feed it. Once a week I don't target feed but juz pour it in the water and yet it still feed. Hi Flying Carpet, Will try that before I sleep and see how big it goes. Thanks bros.
  13. Hi, Is this the one that you purchased; So it can be hang on the back of the tank? May I know which shop you purchased from as I couldn't find it in the east aread? Is it below $100 or more than that? Sorry for asking so many questions? Thank you.
  14. It has been a week already and not so sure by when will it fully recover? Blame it on my itchy hands.
  15. I wonder most of you the sun coral open up around what time of the day? I usually feed mine at around 7pm. Sometimes I target feed and sometimes not - both with cyclopeez. After feeding, it will start to open up and that should be normal. Even when my lights go off at 10pm, it will still opened up till early morning around 6.30am. Usually when the lights are off, it opened up more than when lights are on. What about you guys? Here is mine; After the first few dose of feeds; When I first bought it;
  16. Frankly I like the various types of shrimps too. But everytime I add them to the tank, they are always hiding behind the LR and couldn't find them. Though I know they are not dead, but after paying much for them than some fishes, they juz won't appear in front of you to appreciate their color. Simply frustration - hope you know what I mean.
  17. Hi Ian, That's what I was told too. But everytime when I'm out in the hall, I saw this picture dragonet either pitching on the blue sponge or yellow polyps. Before the addition of this dragonet, the blue sponge is fine. Since then, each day passed by the blue sponge seems to be getting lesser and lesser and same goes for my yellow polyps. Though I didn't see it eating the blue sponge or yellow polyps as whenever I go near, it will juz scoot away. Anyway, I'm rather stubborn guy and may try again to see if it's true with another sponge in future.
  18. Yep, guess I should lay my itchy hands off for sometime hehe.
  19. Guess I must be hand itchy trying to relocate the jewel here and there until now it won't opened up as fully as before. When it's fully opened; After relocating; Sometimes this stupid Yellow Goby will keep harassing my Jewel; When I first bought it, I can really see it slowly opening up in the afternoon onwards;
  20. Also bought this, wonder if it's the same Dragonet family called the Starry Dragonet. It usually burried itself in the sand at night; When it's active; At least this one doesn't bite the blue sponge or polyps and seems much 'peaceful' than the Picture Dragonet. Some called it Scooter Red Blenny right?
  21. I've this Picture Dragonet or Spotted Mandarin (whatever name it is - confused hehe), and it always seems to be eating or biting off my blue sponge and yellow polyps. It's pretty active and hop around the sandbed and live rocks. Do yours have such problem of it eating sponge and polyps? When I first bought the Blue Sponge; Now what's left after the dragonet feast on it; See the skeleton shown! Finally decided to let the sponge go....
  22. Hi Hotlemond, Is this the Jebo one you talking about? Will try c328. Thanks.;
  23. Is this the Macro as100? Is there a problem of salt spraying out and is the pump noisy? Thanks.
  24. Thanks for the infos. This Via Aqua seems interesting and don't quite occupy much space; Any idea how much does it cost and which lfs in S'pore is available? Thank you.
