  1. I'm using a 620 for my 2ft standard tank with a HOB. I'm blowing it across diagonally the tank via the HOB downwards current and thru the LR passage. I adjusted it to the minimum too and the power is juz ok after some minor adjustment. I tilt the head downwards a bit.
  2. Thanks for the info. BTW, anyone using the Glare brand Nitrate test kit? How is it since last reported in 2004?
  3. I've been searching for the Salifert NO3 Nitrate test kit for quite some time and it has been out of stock. Couldn't find them at the East like Iwarna, etc, and Petmart as well. Besides Salifert, any other good and reliable brand to recommend? Thank you.
  4. Yep, didn't see the name card on the 1st day of trade, but today his name card is there hehe. No wonder.
  5. Do you mean the orange color is actually the sponge and inside it is the oyster?
  6. Not so sure where to post this as really have no ideas where these 2 items belong to. If posted wrongly, pls help shift it, thanks. ID1 - The purple little thing in the centre;
  7. Haha, end up selling the stuffs in the tanks instead of food and drinks.
  8. Which part of the clam or view that you want me to take that may help to id it better. I don't mind but for better picture, I can only try my best. Let me know if it can help, really.
  9. Do you mean Pecking as in 'harrassing' without 'biting'? Maybe, if that's the case.
  10. I don't know if mine is also a fan worm. I find the brown tube too long and curvy so I go and cut it shorter. Accidentally I cut the worm tip as well. After cutting I stuck it into one of the holes in the LR and seems ok till now (after 3 days).
  11. Sorry to interrupt, but is this also called the Tube worm or is a different worm.
  12. Thanks to all the valuable advises. Really appreciate that and I'm new, very new to the hobby. Yep, my tank started on 28 March this year and is probably less than 2 mths old. Actually I'm looking for a algae eater fish but due to the fact that (even though after looking thru the internet and forum) when I reached the lfs, I always can't differentiate which is which when I look at the real thing. That's the problem with me. I do feed my corals with that cyclopeez and Phytoplankton. I also dose iodine, calcium and hydro trace into my tank. I really think so that the dragonet is nibbling on the coral like blue sponge, yellow polyps and now the pink tip plate. The obvious sign is the 'broken' polyp of being nibbed effect. When it always at that coral, that coral wil show such sign of being nibbed. Hopefully I'm wrong as I still have the red spotted one. The brown dragonet (whicjh is the culprit) has been caught with the help of my friend after 8 hours of waiting and I've given it to him. See if there is still any more signs of being nibbed after the removal of this dragonet. Hopefully no hehe. Thanks to all once again.
  13. Thanks. It finally decided to move away hehe.
  14. Probably let me show the front side, maybe it's easier to identify;
  15. Hei, you guys are putting it more and more to the west! Come back to the East hehe.
  16. Hi, thanks for the infos. But I'm rather confused about your posting "thats neither a crocea nor maxima" and then you mentioned "that maxima looks ok but monitor closely". So is mine a Maxima? I thought Maxima is expensive and usually more than $50? So what am I now? Maxima?
  17. Caught my orange starfish resting one of her legs on the cauliflower. At first it's just resting on it but later the cauliflower seems to have a grip on it's leg. Is it ok? Must I split them up and put a stop to it?
  18. Tampines Century Square or Tampines Mall. Near to MRT Station, ample parking spaces. Human traffic mixed - adults, teens, family types.
  19. I think I have enough of this fellow; First my blue sponge, then yellow polyps and now my pink tip plate. If I still don't get rid of it, I'm worried about my clam too. Any idea how to catch a dragonet? I've been waiting and playing hide and seek for the last 1 hour already - and now it's missing in action. Hiding behind some rocks..... Any takers? If you can catch.
  20. Seems like I really have to get rid of my dragonet (or mandarin) fish as it already nibbled my blue sponge and yellow polyps. Thanks for the infos.
  21. I really have no idea how to differentiate the various species even after reading up. I'm one that takes a longer time to digest and worst when I look at the real specimen, I'm all excited up and get confused hehe. BTW I bought it recently from Iwarna. They have 3 tanks of it but wonder if they alre all the same - cos it looks the same to a newbie like me haha.
