Here are the lights used. The black light hood behind is my DIY using a T4 20W blue tube inside. Here is the SOB sump showing a filter bag containing the PurePhos Premium media;

Tank used : It's a complimentary tank from my friend Jack Ng to replace my old standard 2ft tank. It's size is also a 2ft tank but the height is taller. Note : This setup is rather standard using a normal 2ft tank without any overflow or sump tank below. There is no chiller and fan for the past 6mths since setup. All rocks are transfer from old tank. Tank measurement : 60cm x 30cm x 45cm (water vol. 19 gal or 72 l) Lights : 3 x T5 (3 x 24W, 2 white and 1 blue) + 1 T4 20W Blue. Total 92W. Powerhead : Seio 620. Skimmer and sump : DIY skimmer and sump (SOB). See here; DIY SOB Nano Skimmer and Sump The DIY Stand On Back (SOB) Skimmer and Sump;

Finally got it removed this morning when it almost uprooted my cup coral from the rock. See the mouth of the urchin in the photo!

Thanks guys for the input. Anemone? Maybe I will try feeding it afterwards and see how it reacts. I bought this rock for $2.50 during the CNY offer hehe. But now seems like this zoo or anemone or .... is spreeding new 'seed'. More new ones are seen growing on the rock itself.
-
You mean this? But it looks quite different from the picture above.
-
Thanks bro. Didn't occur to me that they are a kind of zoo as these are very much more meaty than the normal zoo hehe.
-
Hi fellow reefers, Pls help me to identify what is this? Is it some kind of mushroom or whatever? Thanks.
-
Thanks Alvin. Maybe I'm misunderstood... I mean I wanted the coraline algae to grow badly and I'm worried that this urchin it's removing it.
-
I've a sea urchin (below) grown out in my tank from nowhere and it's getting bigger by the days. Understand that some sea urchin will remove the coraline algae from the rocks. Will this sea urchin also remove the coraline algae too? I've tried to remove the urchin, but it sucks very hard on the rock. Anyone knows how to remove it?

Thanks guys... yep crown or clown... I'm confused sometimes too hehe!

This coco worm has been doing very well initially, but after sometime, it has retracted into it's shell. One fine day, it decided to come out for a 'puff'. It been puffing for about 20 minutes and thereafter, it goes into it's shell again. When it's in a good mood, it will come out for a while, but the head it's not as good as in the past.

-
Crown 1 : When is the last time you had your servicing done? Anemone : About a year ago... :oops: Crown 1 : Looks pretty bad! Take about 1 day to put it back to shape. Crown 1 : Give me a hand, buddy! Crown 2 : Coming, coming.

Thanks guys. Alamak, I threw the whole scallop and shell away alreadi..... forgotten about laksa too....
-
Can't be help, it's alreadi half dead after it ventured to the powerhead.
-
This $3 scallop is asking for trouble. It ventures to the powerhead and got injured and fell down. Nevermind, it still moved near to the anemone; Now it got stuck with the anemone while it is being pull nearer; After having a few good bite, the anemone decide to put it underneath and save it for tomorrow; Continuing it's meal the next day; Don't seems to taste as good as yesterday; Enough is enough, clear the table pls; Finally picked it up and throw it away and everything back to normal.
