  1. Is the diffuser an optional item or comes with it as a standard?
  2. Does the micro bubbles affect your corals too? In a recent poll, there are lots of brothers using Macro skimmer too. Hope they can help...
  3. Do you mean after running the Macro AS200 for 1 mth, there is still lots of bubbles coming out of the outlet? Is this the norm for Macro skimmer?
  4. Thanks for the info and offer. 300 series too big for me. Dymax is made in S'pore right compare to Macro which is Taiwan??? If made in S'pore, maybe can have spare parts. More inputs pls.
  5. Thanks for your pm. But I would like to know more about the product first. Thanks once again.

    overflow

Thanks Tanga. If it's $60 including the relay to cut off the pump, then it's really worth getting one. Pls keep me posted here. Thanks once again.

    overflow

That's what worrying me too hehe. But besides buying a float switch, still have to buy a relay or a controller - then the amount of $ may not be juz $60 right? Anyone knows what relay to buy to cut off the pump and how much will it cost? Thanks.

    overflow

Thanks Tanga. So the best bet is still to have a hole drilled into the tank for IOS? For IOS, is it no more need to have a float switch to cut off the return pump as it sure won't break siphon? Thanks once again.
  9. I'm considering one for a 2ft tank. Comparing the Macro AS100P and the Dymax Sawtooth Blade LS10 series skimmer, which is better in terms of performace and pump? - Is there a problem with water level adjustment in sump for the Macro one? - Which is noisier? - How long will the pump last without giving problem? - Which one got pump replacement problem? Thanks.

    overflow

Oh that means a float switch is mandatory if such a overflow pipe is used.

    overflow

Thanks but think you misunderstood my meaning. I'm not talking about the pump failure. In fact, I'm concern if the overflow pipe break siphons (maybe due to air bubble chock or some other reason), won't the return pump gets overheated once the last chamber run out of water? Is this why some need float switch to cut off the return pump if this occur?

    overflow

OK, this I understand with the hole drilled in the main tank. My concern is actually the overflow pipe or the overflow box type.
  13. Think it's working on some kind of 'food timer', cos it onli repeats; "Servicing Desktop PC/Upgrade/Hardware/Software/format Sell Brand New Customise PC Sell Brand New Laptop(Acer) For more detail call winston(81330830) " and without even answering queries!

Sorri can I ask if the siphon breaks, and the return pump such until the water almost dry in the last compartment of the sump; will the continuous running of the pump without water cause overheating and fire of pump??? Forgive me if it sounds silly.
  15. Anyone using this Macro AS-100P skimmer? - May I know what is the pump rating is watts? - Is this a Hang On Back skimmer? - How is the price range like? (including the pump) - Which shop is carry stock for this skimmer? - Is the pump reliable? Thank you and sorri for asking so many questions.
  16. Definitely not something you see everyday here; Credit : http://reefs.org/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=64924
  17. Great diy! I know that some are using high grade stainless steel and shown that there is no sign of rust even after a year. Personally have not tried that.
  18. No I mean the nano cuble splash cover or stock cover (transparent plastic with 4 screws). You didn't cover it back?
  19. The splash guard is the transparent plastic sheet for the lights. You didn't use them?? Is good as it prevents corrosion later on.
  20. How I wish I'm like you - fast and energetic! You may use velcro too if there is a need as the tube is tight fitting once the plastic splash guard is screw back. So both are 8W?? If fact I think this T4 tube (white one) are also 6500K.
  21. Max, The T4 top piece and bottom piece are they same 8W? Think can squeeze in 3x8W too if you use the pin connector of the PL light instead of the standard one from T4. Can't see your bottom piece T4 light connection, is it using the pin connector wire? Good mod, and that's what I'm doing yesterday too but still haven't get the pin connectors yet. Those reflectors are they cut from the existing ones or those sold by Reborn??
  22. Max, is it the pieter chiller type? I've been wanting to do it but juz holding on to compare the deg. that is can cool down compare to the fan. As it's one side cold and the other side hot, and the cube is enclosed with the canopy - so the exhaust fan must be more effective to pull the hot air out; else the hot air will be keep circulating inside the cube.
  23. There is a kind of surface skimmer plate they sell for $3.50 for this tank or one can juz diy one. The overflow is on the top left side. Check here; Nanoskim
