Hi Piero, Came across afew black sea cucumbers at ReefWxxxx on Wed. There should be alot more but better call n ask before going there. Much much cheaper where I got conned at ML, only $3/ compared to $10!!! Brittle stars IMO arent that effecient in cleaning substrates cos they dont stir the sand as much. Hide among rocks most of the time n they are nocturnal.

Go further slightly down to LCK Lane 6 n you reach CoralFxxx. Theres plenty of softies u can choose at astonishingly cheap prices, plus various healthy exotic fishes too. For value for money LPS (reasonable size matching prices), T95 is a great place to shop too. I always say it pays to shop around n its especially true in Spore!

Catfish replied to mousecat11's topic in New to the Marine Aquaria Hobby
Hi larryng21, Are the price comparable to Spore's? I guess not much diff cos JB so close to Spore. Wont even be surprise if their LS comes from Spore too. But well, next time when I go shopping there with my gf I can make a d-tour there to get sometime for my tank, hehe....sneaky. -
Wah..... veri veri nice specimen indeed. Where did u get it? pricey?

SeaChem's garlic is rather diluted compared to Kent Marine's garlic. A even better choice would be EcoSystem's garlic elixir. But both products are more expensive compared to Seachem. Having been using Kent's with no complaints.

Well, Can check with fellow reefers here. Some of them also only using chennai wood frame racks that cost between S$300 to S$400 for a 3ft to 4ft. But this maker's quote includes frame rack plus covered wood planks otherwise would look hollow below. Well what kind of price have you been quoted?

Here's another good lobang to share with all new n old reefers. Got my tank from this glass maker whom I befriended when I saw him at one of the farm delivering fish tank. Find that his pricing is very reasonable n no need to go through fish shop or farm as there will be markup. 1. 3ft(L) x 3ft(W) x 2.5(H) / 10mm thick - S$189 3ft(L) x 3ft(L) x 2.5(H) / 12mm thick - S$275 100% Chennai wood cupboard(Chennai wood frame but fully covered) - S$450 2. 3ft(L) x 2ft(W) x 2.5ft(H) / 10mm thick - S$158 3ft(L) x 2ft(L) x 2.5ft(H) / 12mm thick - S$228 100% Chennai wood cupboard(Chennai wood frame but fully covered) - S$450 3. 4ft(L) x 2.5ft(W) x 2(H) / 10mm thick - S$180 4ft(L) x 2.5ft(L) x 2(H) / 12mm thick - S$260 100% Chennai wood cupboard(Chennai wood frame but fully covered) - S$500 4. 5ft(L) x 2.5ft(W) x 2.5ft(H) / 12mm thick - S$600 5ft(L) x 2.5ft(W) x 2.5ft(H) / 15mm thick - S$1100 100% Chennai wood cupboard(Chennai wood frame but fully covered) - S$850 All the above quotations does not include sump tank n delivery,cos you need to specific how you want your sump to be done. But I guess wont be much lah. Feel free to give him a call at 96200436 Mr. William if anyone interested n also check with him on other details carefully.

Hi, Another common name is rocket goby. They can grow up to 6" or 7" with thick bodies. Bigger adult are much nicer with reflective neon-like colors compared to small juveniles rather dull grayish silver. Take almost any kinds of dry food, brime, shredded shrimps n other types of meaty food if available. Fast competitive eaters n dont keep with other shy fishes. But general not aggresive to other fishes. Preferred tanks bigger than 20g cos need lots of hidding space otherwise will become very panicky n jump out of your tank, as the name says rocket! If possible get at least a pair cos they school in the wild. (not go to school lah, hahah..) Readily available locally in different sizes n prices ard $5 to $8 so good to shop around! Cheers.

Hi liverock, Try coralfarm, they always have very brilliant color bi-color blennies, n best of all surprisingly cheap! About them running berserk, I believe its varies from one to another, likewise not all angels will peck on corals or clams, well mine dont!

Ya lor, prices at HL are really getting expensive these days. Probably only some regular customers get a few % cheaper! Also find the tank condition not improving at all, wonder what the uncle is doing? Just take alook at the old 3ft show tank, really telok now! But the uncle still a nice guy lah. Looking for cleaner shrimps, I saw a few at this new shop at tyrwhitt rd, the shop is called WaterCircle. Look for this guy named Say Meng(owner), he is also another nice guy too. Besides theres also pairs of ###### shrimps n another invertebrates, but no fish lar only damsels, clowns n very small angels. Heard that he breds various species of seahorses in Spore. Hmmm... very interesting. Oh forgot to list the price! hehe.. Well hes selling $7 each before discount!

Where to buy a resun chiller ?
Catfish replied to Vivien Woon's topic in New to the Marine Aquaria Hobby
Having previously seen demo of bith resun n hailea, resun is slightly noisy than hailea. In terms of design its also uglier. However resun pricing is slightly cheaper than hailea. Well its ur choice.
