  1. I-Aquatic calcium reactor converted to denitrator.
  2. The rating is different. Deltec701 is rated for 1000 litres tank. BK-200 is rated for. . i cant remember. . Anyway u might as well get bk-300 cuz the price difference is not tt much.. maybe a couple of hundreds more. .
  3. Desmond (warehouse at pasir ris farm) Yellow tangs (s,m) (100 pieces) mystery wrasse (1 piece) lemon peel (s) (3 pieces)
  4. bro, i am just curious which pump did u incorporate the needle with? Is that a Reef Octopus skimmer? cheers! thanks for sharing btw.
  5. I don't think anyone can argue that BK is just a pretty flower vase. haha. . gotta e-mail Klaus Jensen and tell him that.
  6. jervis: DHL better put the toy on the first flight out of Germany! thanks for the warning. i will start with one drip per second and increase over the months. lyz77: yes that's the problem with using a fan instead of a chiller, high evaporation rate.
  7. Although 6200 is controllable, but its pretty unusual for a 4 footer considering tunze 6000 or 6100 can do the job. In fact from my past experience, 6060 can cause tsunami already in a 4 footer. tunze 6200 Specifications For aquariums of 800 - 3000 l (211 - 792 US gal.) Output: 5000 - 20000 l/h (1,319 - 5,283 US gal./h) Speed control: Yes Electronically controllable by all TUNZE ® motor controls Pump wattage: 62 W Voltage / Frequency: 230V / 50 Hz Cable length: 5 m; (196.8 in.) Dimensions: ø 98 x 118 mm; (diam. 3.9 x 4.6 in.) Outlet diam.: ø 50 / 47 mm; (diam. 1.9 / 1.8 in.)
  8. Good job there. . . which skimmer will u incorporate your DIY needle wheel pump with?
  9. haha. . the skimmer is coming!!!!!!!!!! i am like waiting for santa claus to deliver christmas present to me. . denitrator coming tmr.
  10. The flight of stairs that bro giantbicycle is refering to is not the ceramic stairs, but the trail of muds which resembles a pile of stairs. you are right that i am under utilizing my santa cruz. its pretty silly to have a full suspension bike, only to ride at the beaches.
  11. Which year model is the frame? So its the same as mine, just in M size. Not bad for $1000. Brand new is between $1800-$2000
  12. mandarin fish can die for various reasons, such as lack of food as most of the time they dun feed on pellets or mysis shrimps but the copepods in ur tank. Besides, ur Koran angel is getting bigger, doubt it can squeeze thru the rocks to get to the mandarin. i am no expert on angel fish, may fellow reefers explain if koran is really tt aggressive.
  13. bro, tunze osmolator not very expensive. . RD selling $235 i think. The thing is get what you really need, instead of what u really want. Things i want: IKS Aquastar computer Things i really need now: auto top-up device skimmer
  14. I havent thought of one yet. Might get the tunze auto top up, if not rely manually.
  15. DI-RO unit is very good. Only downside is the long term cost especially if u have a huge tank or u like to do frequent water changes.
  16. hey mate, i think u might have to replace the Rowa once every month. It all depends on how many fishes u keep also. .
  17. i don't actually. What i need now is an auto top-up so i don't have to keep replacing fresh water. Estimated evaporation rate is 6-8 litres daily.
  18. Jervis: lets put the skimmer issue aside till my next skimmer arrives. Anyway each to his own, to put it bluntly, if some reefer decides to put 100 fishes into a 2 footer, i will not judge him but hope he understands what he's doing. oh ya, i feed the fishes with 4-8 cubes of mysis/brine shrimps daily and New Spectrum pellets at intervals.
  19. hey ken, i understand that you are in the midst of shifting. . . so how's ur tank and all? Erm. . i shall stop buying fishes impulsively for now.
  20. Take a chill pill man. . each to his own. A BK-400 is approximately $4000 by the time it shipped out from Germany and to your door step. A BK-300 is a better alternative cuz its only about $2700.
  21. jervis, thanks for the extra information. If i am not wrong, Deltec1004 sld be using eheim1260 pump which is 65 watt, thus 65 watt x4 is 260 watt which is still a lot. I mean the reason why people want to switch from beckett to needlewheel in the first place is bcuz of the high energy consumption! Buying a 260 watt needlewheel wld defeat the purpose. Bubbleking is ranked first in the reefing community for their low power consumption, yet able to achieve impressive results. Seriously, BK is a great choice except for the short of spare parts. At least Reefdepot do provide spare parts for Deltec.
