bro, i didnt know you are such a strong supporter of NW. Personally, i have gone through 3 beckett and a schuran jetskim 150 skimmer. I always thought very highly about deltec after seeing the 851 model running at another reefer's house. The bubbles are so fine and it covers all the way to the neck of the skimmer. You are right that there are new skimmers coming to town. At the end of the day, 3 things still determine a skimmer. 1)The efficency 2)Power consumption 3)Price All these 3 must be balanced. eg. if a $1000 skimmer can perform as well as a $2000 skimmer in the same rating and capacity, definately the $1000 skimmer is more efficent. Actually i try to restrict my feeding to twice a day. But every time i see my tangs getting skinny, i will dump in more food. Hopefully the denitrator will solve some of my problems.

Both the skimmer and denitrator will be in next week. Will post some pictures and possibly reviews on it. Btw this are my final pieces of equipment. Gotta save money for travelling!

hey jervis, for the mini bubble king, they will not be using Red Dragon pumps. Thus the price will drop significantly and become more competitive. Maybe i can help you check the price if you are very keen on it? However, if ur next set up is gonna be 6 footer, you have to go for the BK-250 model or bigger.

i do have quite high expectations for the up and coming skimmer. Really looking forward to it. Expected time of arrival: 10-11 august. Dun reveal anything about the skimmer yet, i prefer the element of surprise.

i suggest you get the Deltec 851 model. Maybe Deltec apf600 can do the job as well.

Try doing a search in Src. This question have been answered before. Anyway i shall do ia simple explaination. A calcium reactor requires a co2 cylinder and regulator. It helps to boost the calcium level in the tank. Optinum calcium level sld be between 350-400. A kalkwassar reactor requires an auto top up device. It helps to maintain the calcium level in the water. Best combination together with the CR. IMO, a CR is better than a KR after using both of it. cheers.

bro spawns: A bubbleking wld certainly solve my headache when it comes to my tank but it will give me greater headaches feeding on biscuits w plain water or soya sauce w rice. Bcuz tangs are extremely fast eaters, some of the angels are unable to compete with them. Not saying tt i will not add them in future, but my experience with tangs have been pretty good. i know their habits and patterns, unlike angels. jervis: If u ever want to venture into another business. . try public relations or sales cuz u you are very persuasive. . as we converse previously, i shall delay the Deltec851 model and go for another skimmer instead. I hope i will be officially the first reefer locally to own tt piece of skimmer and i shall do a review on it. Jervis. . i was doing some searching just now. . in the last 2 years there's actually one bubble king up for grab in pasam malam. . we can slowly wait. . For deltec. . less than 5 pieces for sale in the last 2 years. Either not many own deltec or bubbleking, if not there's no unhappy users.

The deltec 851 can be placed outsump. Which means u can place beside ur chiller or something. Alternatively, get a beckett. u will be pleased with either skimmers.
