  1. i sold away the denitrator already due to lack of space to accomodate it. Gonna build a refugim tank instead with DSB. I ahve not use the Pure Nitralock before, so can't really comment on the product. There are many ways to bring nitrate level down. For a start, dun feed ur fishes too much. Secondly, dun add any new fishes at the moment. Can consider investing in a denitrator. Reefdepot does carry the Deltec denitrator. Results dun come instantly. Maybe use the Nitralock a lil longer n see how. If nitrate still dun drop, then stop using the product lor.
  2. This week's plans: 1) Install refugim 2) Redo return pipings 3) Change return pumps to Aquabee 5000 x2 4) Install Chiller
  3. i already did tt. . remove quite a lot of fishes over the weekend. all sell to forum reefers. . Stingray passed away for unknown reasons. Today went to buy Aquabee pumps. . . spend almost 1k on Aquabee 5000 x 2 and Aquabee 2000.
  4. Price lower to $100. Internal pump. Only 55 watt for 4800 litres.
  5. Guess u will have to leave ur cabinet doors permanently open for better ventilation. Alternatively, can put the chiller as far as ur kitchen or wherever cant be seen, but piping works is tough and u will need an extra powerful pump to run it.
  6. You can either add two tunze 6060 in ur system now or upgrade ur return pump. For return pumps: Eheim 1262 / 1264 Aquabee 5000, 6000, 7000
  7. $140. Pump is as good as new. One week old.
  8. That's 54 watt x 8 = 432 watt of lightings!! No wonder ur corals are blooming.
  9. Agree with you. Its addictive. . . plus not everyone can keep corals alive successfully.
  10. bro, its really amazing that ur prata have such speedy recovery. From my own experience as well as others, bleached pratas usually dun get back the colour for as long as a year. . . have to give it to you. . . You have already challenge urself by nursing back bleached pratas which most people will just ignore or throw it away. Of cuz, have to give credit to ur Hailea chiller.
  11. bro, how long did it take to nurse the prata back to health? Its incredible.
  12. that's quite fast. But the corals seems to be doing pretty alright. . . dun worry about it. Let the tank mature a bit b4 adding more fishes lor. . .
  13. Dun say already. . . upgrade pumps, install new lightings, add chiller. . build new refugim. . . In total cost about $1600
  14. Fish list: Yellow tang x5 Blue tang Sohal tang Red sea salfin tang Naso tang Black Line trigger Bi-colour angel Common clown Maroon clown Chromis x 12 Think this will put less stress on the corals i plan to add in the following weeks.
  15. dude, brown tang is very aggressive. Need to take note when adding new specimens of fishes.
  16. Just switched to OR 3500 return pump. One month changed from Aquabee 3000 to Eheim 1260 to OR 3500. .
  17. Just did a rescpae. Looks like two mountains of rocks now, but its placed specifially for the corals. .
  18. 1) Aquamedic Oceanrunner 3500 ($220) 2) Aquamedic Oceanrunner 6500 ($300) Both pieces are brand new. Still in original box. Very good return and chiller pumps.
