haha. . . a lot of rics garden originated from me. . Its pretty impressive how much u can do to a 2ft cube. To add a calcium reactor to ur tank is indeed overkill, but its a good investment for lazy people. No need everyday dose addictives!

Noise level: Still very quiet at the moment. Only chiller that it can't beat is Arctica. Chilling capacity: Take approx an hour to bring the tank from 28 to 27 degrees. Kick in: Ratio is 1:1. IMO, for Hailea to improve on the chiller is the size of it. For most reefers, their concern is mainly electrial comsumption, noise level and size. Hailea manage to achieve the electrical consumption n noise level part, but improvements can be made to the size. However, for $559 its value for money.

Looking good. . . Since its a 2ft cube, wun need much rics to cover the entire sand bed. . say about 100-150. . . slowly stock up!!!

Chiller still working fine. . . . no issues as yet. I added a separate refugim. . which is 2x1x2 ft, so tank volume will increase by some percentage. Will update accordingly. In comparison with Resun 1/2 model, the Hailea 1/2 model is extremely silent. Observation made when me and another reefer visited someone's hse and his Resun chiller sound like an airplane taking off. . .

Its about 5 inches wide.

my MH is only 150 watt. . . what do u think?

that's an idea. . . . . but i dunno if its possible to find such reflectors.

i got it for 2-3 weeks only. Definately not colour injected.

Plans: 1) Put in 6 inches deep sand bed into the refugim. Estimated sand used would be 40kg. 2) Redo the entire tank's pipings. Replaced with better quality pipings in 2-3 weeks time.

The piping behind is the downflow pipe. The piping in front is connected to Quietone 1200 pump cuz the refugim needs an extremely slow rate pump.

Lights sld be sufficent. . . .

Installed 3 x 11 watt energy saving bulb. Actual energy ouput is 3 x 60 = 180 watt!!!!

New custom made refugim tank, just delivered today.

After decomm, replaced with live rocks.
