Hi All, Yes it was actually resetup. Shifted house so I got someone to do the tearing down and the resetup again. My filter comprises of using polyfilter, carbon,wool and a DIY skimmer. Thanks for the comments

Hi, I suppose you would need to get two pumps for your case. One to run the skimmer and another to run the return and chiller. I doubt you can run all three on one pump. That is because the skimmer works on gravity(water flows out) it does not work on pressure(water dosen't pump out) So not enough strength to pump water up to the main tank. Therefore, I suggest you get two pumps. Eheim would be good. Pressure rated and saves electricity.

Hi, You are right. However, a pressure rated pump requires more watt to run. Thus there is more heat produced. However, if the pump is external, it will contribute less heat. as it is not submerged in water. Either way, it is related. Hope you agree... Thanks for the contribution.

Hi, Ever tried using your rocks to support the base of your powerhead and using the suckers to keep it in place? Well, the suckers tend to harden after awhile and lose its suction strength. Thats why u have this problem

HI, Kalkwasser is calcium HYDROXIDE. Naturally, it is alkaline. Therefore, it will raise you pH. Use in conjunction with Calcium chloride or calcium carbonate(the normal calcium wich you get in shops in liquid form) and it will solve your pro.

carbon will absorb organic materials which are in excess in your tank. thats the reason u use it. so in case you overfeed, it will absorb the excess for you.

Try SLA in balestier for review on H&S skimmers. They have some running there.
