For a 4ft tank, should I use SEIO 620, 820 or 1100?
-
Looking at my situation....dun ever start a tank with 8mm thickness or below... If your tank is 2 feet, forget about chiller...fan will do. Don't waste the money. But if it is 4 ft and above, you might want to consider Resun...you can read about the comments in the forum.

Hi Bro Lizard44, pardon me for answering the question for Marble.... I have feature dust, sea star, prawns, anemone, clown fish, tang n etc...so far for the 9 days, nothing happened to them, but can't guarantee anything, as diff living things have their endurence to the environment, thus nothing is the same...hope you understand Since your tank is 3by2by1.5ft, I suggest 2 teaspoon first...remember, your tank will be blur (will occur either immediately or after serveral hours) due to cloudiness of the sugar in water...beside do you have sump, if yes, put it in the sump and let it enter the main tank slowly. Not sure about adding PH with Sugar, did not try, maybe Bro Lizard44 can advice you. Test ur NO3 every 4days (IMO) to see any effect.... Good luck

Hi FuEL, My Light is T5NO @ 28w (2 white and 2 blue), believed the intensity should be able to reach my 1.5 height feet tank. Currently, my temp is around 28C, can I keep clam? If I direct feed the clam, how many times do I need to feed per week? How long the light must switch on per day? Appreciate your advice.

Let me do a summarised of the encounterment with Bro Lizard44 suggestion on Sugar Dosing..... Day 1 - Tested NO3 = 25mg/l; SW = 1.022; Added 3 teaspoon of sugar Day 2 - Whole tank blur, can't see a thing, so scared that my LS all died....almost wanted to change water, but went back to read on the posting that this is normal, so waited...n waited....luckily water clear after 20hrs.... Day 3 - Start dosing sugar = 3 teaspoon Day 4 - continue dosing sugar = 3 teaspoon Day 5 - Tested NO3 = 12.5mg/l; SW = btw 1.022 - 1.023; Added 3 teaspoon of sugar Day 6 - Start dosing sugar = 3 teaspoon Day 7 - continue dosing sugar = 3 teaspoon Day 8 - continue dosing sugar = 3 teaspoon Day 9 - Tested NO3 = 0mg/l; SW = 1.023; PH = 7.6; Temp = 27.5C Stopped dosing sugar, added PH buffer to restore....the PH really went down alot , so need to restore quickly..... I am using Aqua PH tester and Tetra NO3 tester (turn Yellow means 0mg/l) Will wait for 4 days before testing NO3 and PH to see whether it go up.... Thanks Bro Lizzard for the brillant suggestion.....

Bro lizard44, I have just added 3 teaspoon of sugar on Sunday afternoon, I was woken by my family this morning at 6.30am, telling me that my tank is so cloudy that we could not see the fish....almost worry to death for those LS.......but after reading tat this will happened (did not know why it took so long to take effect..the cloudiness)...now at this current time, the water is starting to clear Should I continue to dose 3 teaspoon or lessen? Will the cloudiness come back? How long should I do it, since my NO3 reading is 25mg/l? Appreciate your advice.

Hi Bro dtaytc, T95 is way before the prata shop, it is the road going from the place where they sell plant outside the road. The LFS is good and cheap for corals and Anemone, compare to other LFS. But since so many brothers out there have sent cautious sign, I think you better think twice. After all, my Anemone is 1+ month old. Hope it will not "up the lorry". Beside, my NO3 has go down to 25ppm...."heng ah" but still need to work on to reduce it.

I have a sump with Coral Chips and also running Canister...but there are still lots of floating particles in the tank...dun things Canister can do miracle. I dun really bother about the "things" floating...as long the NO3 is 0, PH is 8.3 and water is clean n not "milky", who care abt those things... If you really want to clear, change water and stop the water/pump flow for a couple of days and the "things" will subside onto your sandbed.

Hi Bro Marine Dreamer, I dip mine for too long and the rock is turning white, anyway I can revive the rock/agale? beside, the rock now cover with a layer of dust like matter.... (

Just top up the water in the sump with new SW... After skimming for a few hours, you are ready to connect the main tank to sump. BTW, if you are running chiller, than it is a different case. Need to ensure Main Tank water and the Sump water dun hv too much temp diff. It is great to add a Refugium, but yours is too small to make any diff..but still great.

My sand bed is 2 inch only... Just measured my NO3 = >25mg/l<50mg/l...SW = 1.022 put 3 spoons of sugar to test water...hope this help
