It is stress...if continue, it may die. If small amount of white liquid is okay, if too much, it would become toxic and hurt fish and coral, thus it is not safe. Take Sea Cuke out, must put on the sand, else may die. Good Luck.

My intention is to keep LPS and Softies...so what's your recommendation? MH with ??KK lights or T5 lights ? Thanks

I would like to findout what is the difference btw MH with 6.5KK, 10KK, 15KK and 20KK. Is it because difference in the light intensity? If that is the case, as most reefer using 10KK, is it the most recommended for? Comparison: I know PL/T5/T8 generate less heat compare to MH, but example, for a 4x2x2ft tank, we may need 4 pair of T5 to have the tank covered compare to properbly 2x150MH light, the price will be a great difference. 4xT5 would properbly cost $800, whereas a 2x150MH would cost $400...no brand quoted. Would the expert reefer advice is to choose T5 or MH even w/o the above comparison in price? I am in a stage of lost to which light should I choose to put up SPS & LPS...this would be the cost to have number of lights, running cost (Electric fee), maintenance cost (bulk change). Any expert reefer pls give me some advice.

My suggestion for immediate action: Overflow filter system (stacked..that means double box).. 1st compartment of cotton wool and Aquapharm pureII, > Clean the cotton wool or change new one if its dirty 2nd compartment is coral chips and 2 small live rock, > Removed the Coral Chips -> trap dentris and become Nitrate Factory, do a search on Coral Chip and you will find a lot of info. just my 2 cents....

Okay lah, U r right The reason I continued is because after searching the forum, found out that a few senior reefer also used RIS before. Well, wehn the time that the stand is too rusty, will do a swap again lor..take it as rework on the tank to ensure that sandbed is clean again.

To prevent swing, can tie both side of MH light to the side PVC. Just my 2cents..
