Just got the light meter from my friend today..cant wait to test it out on the lighting... finally the result is out.. :eyebrow: This is the lux meter which i am talking about.. and first of all i use it to measure the output for my 2 tube 2ft T5 HO with ATI White tube..

HI bro, I am currently Using H&S skimmer runing on AB2000 needle wheel... First time using a H&S skimmer so was this a good choice ?, and was using a beckett skimmer previously which consume much more electricity i feel... I test run this skimmer once and saw a lot of bubbles coming out so i suppose it will work well on my small tank... only problem is you have to manually empty the cup every time it become full.. Was also wondering like you if the LED work produces same or simalar output as a MH or not ??, so i am going to borrow the PAR metter from my friend this week to measure the output... so Stay tune guys for the update on this.....

If you see the display tank in ML, the Lumenaqua produces very nice Shimmering effect exactly just like what MH can produce or better !! But without all the heat being transfer into the water of course .... that is one of the main reason why i decided on this.. Also due to this lighting, i need not get a overpower chiller which help save some cost as well..

ya bro,, it is a 2ft height.. a good height to see the whole tank if you stand just right in front..

my chiller finally arrive !

was deciding between the tunze and vortech , but there is some feedback that the shaft of the impeller may rust over some time.. and it does not have the light controller which the tunze does as well.... so decided to try this out..

Thanks bro... hear that having a external overflow will have some problem with the micro bubble as well... anyone has this experience before ?? How can i prevent this ?? The guy is coming to do up my piping next week, so i hope i can start runing the water next week.. can wait to get it started.. haha

i have bought this LED panel from ebay and it is extremly bright in ###### eyes... however, the problem with the LEDs is that they do not have a wide light distribution angle unlike flourscent or other lighting, as such the light will only pentrate 180 degree straight downward... You will need more unit of the LEDs panel in order to have a good coverage of your tank..

Just collected the custom make tank from Vincent last night togther with the custom make sump... the main tank is runing on a external overflow instead of a internal overflow.. as i do not want to cut a hole in my cabinet.. any advantage or draw back for tank runing on a external overflow instead of a internal overflow system ?
