Sorry some correcction.. the expiry date for the Salifert Mg and Iodine test kits is 10-2010.. the expiry date for Sera Po4 test kits is 04-2010, and for the API kits i couldnt find any expiry label on it.. so i assume there is no expiry date for the API .....

i have tried Seachem's PhosGuard before.. but it is not as effective... the best way , cheapest and environmental friendly way is to use Mangroove or Chaeto to absorb your P04 and no3.. if not, very soon you will see brown algera growing all over your tank..!! you cannot imagine how much shit your fish can produce in one day..

Wow.. from the look of this setup.. you are already saving quite a few bit... only important to get a reliable and lesser engergy consuming return pump.. since i believe this will be the power head which will have the highest flow rate in the setup.. Are you using any FR ? maybe you can have a two way piping from your return flow from sump to main with one side going to the FR and back to the sump.. i have that and so doesnt need any extra pump for FR..

Buying a slightly overkill chiller is always a good choice.. as it will take lesser time for the chiller to cool the water.... this will also save u on the money when you decided to upgrade your tank next time.. Any idea how much a LED aquarium lighting cost ?

Althought MH produce yet the highest light intensity of all aquarium lighting, but it is almost the one which emit the most heat and consume the most electricity,, ! imagine if your chiller break down one day, and when you return home all our fish become cook fish.. this happen to me once..

correct me if i am wrong, but i think Hailea is using titanium coil ... the next option you can also get someone to customize the titanium coil in your sump like some people did over here..

Yea man.. you are right.. which is also the reason why after i learn my lesson on the first chiller which i bought ..althought it is much cheaper than a Artica chiller.. i ended up paying more for the electrical bill each month ! in the end, i have decided to spend the money on a good chiller which is giving back the saving in long run.. what type of lighting save the most energy ?
