  1. I do have one for sale. Viewing in AMK. Its a hanging pendant. contact me on 9threethree9588three
  2. Note to self: Teco Chiller purge hot air via the front...... need to turn the chiller around so it purge away from the tank. Collect DIGITAL PH ORP (2 in 1) CONTROLLER ELECTRODES from stevenkoh before he torpedo me... Things to add: Lights (viewing Saturday) Wave maker (Undecided, still many doubts) a more powerful return pump between 5000-7000l/h with adapter for 16mm hose.
  3. If you are referring those on the bottom left... yea, I am still figuring how to fit them in.... lol... My tank is of 29" depth. Since its my first time scaping rocks for marine, its indeed back breaking.... There is only one thing running in the sump area and you know better what it is..... Yea.... the biggest challenge is it look too much like a book shelf. I still have many smaller rocks but they don't really fit in. Still getting ideas from many pictures I can find in the forum. May took the live rocks in my quarantine tank this weekend to complete the outlook, for the better I hope.... Technically, yes
  4. Always wanted to try out marine. Managed to get hold of a used 3 footer and set up an initial scape (note to self: never get a tank of more than 2ft height again, back really hurts now) of what I had in mind. Iwarna's Victor had been extremely nice for accommodating to my 3 hours request to deliver the NSW (actually, i was just trying my luck, happen that the staff is free and available. Thanks Victor!). I would not go into the mechanical details. Currently, the return is about 7000l/h, will be powered by a 250w MH (collecting on Saturday) and will be using a Teco TW4 chiller at 28dC. This is just a quick snap using my phone camera. More will come after I start adding live stocks....
  5. I would prefer a workshop which covers compatibility and selection of live stocks and corals. Example, broken down into high requirement (Strong lights, low temp), mid requirement (Mid light, average temp) and low requirements (very high tolerance). Any if possible, types of corals commonly found and their feeding requirements, such as manual feed requirements etc. As beginners are very easily falling into the trap of "pretty, buy, die", I believe this will help the beginners avoid unnecessary losses, which are not cheap at all. Just my S$0.02. So if you are keen, pls indicate your nick here. Registration (Closing date : 8th june) 1)Billy Cheong (Tentative - May need to work on Saturday) 2) 3)
  6. The Iwarna guy strongly recommended me not to. The manual say yes. In the end, I didn't. PS: I bought a HR17.
  7. Hi Bro, Thanks for the reply. Guess I will consider other alternatives for the time being... lol... Hope the Autosol method did the trick. Regards, Goondoo
  8. No worries! So how much does it cost per panel for your new project?
  9. If you can't clean it, try polishing it off using Autosol or other polishing cream. Gently rub it in circular motion with your fingers till you no long feel it. Then clean it off.
  10. wah.... you stay near my place also... haha... up for your sales
  11. maxspect didn't cost just a bit more...... need to know what they actually mean though.... and I am considering 2 sets of maxspect 60w too
  12. Look good and fit my budget for my 3 footer.... hmmm....

  19. I see... you should see his DIY macro adaptor using a german binoculars lens... lol.... He took very nice macro pictures with P&S cameras.
  20. Happen to see this picture I took donkey years back with my first DSLR, Canon 300D IR Photography, anyone? (D70s) Peter, You shoot with Stevewhy?
  21. TS, I do not think there is any right or wrong way, just what you want to achieve. I have friend that run a DSB main tank, hang on skimmer, a empty sump no partition, with nothing but a filter sock for 4 yrs without changing water (fish only set up). For more sump information or design, you might want to refer to this web. http://www.melevsreef.com/allmysumps.html Hope this helps.
  22. The added bacteria (if exist) can only survive on what is inside the tank. Meaning, their "food" source such as NH3, NO2. Theoretically, it is just a waste if you overdose (not according to tank size, but according to food available). Excess bacteria will die off and soon be consumed, causing nutrients spike and cloudy/green water etc. It is not necessary to add bacteria in a mature tank as the "system" will balance itself, unless you are adding a huge amount of livestocks very suddenly.
  23. The average water temperature is usually 2-3 degrees celcius below room temperature. But its debatable if it is worth the power since we can't really measure it off hand.
  24. I am more of a macro shooter I sort of agree with your last sentence. I bought my D70s from CS for $700, sold it for $650 1.5 years later . I bought a SB800 for $480, sold it for $450. Both were bought and sold same time. I am considering selling my D300 set as well
