ive tried most of the macroalgae available in LFS i personally prefer Fern Caulerpa for filter.. grow fast enu and easy to purn...grapes is not as stable IMO.. Ulva has been used for cultivating zooplankton .. they dont grow fast in my refug..so i wouldnt rely on them for filtering.. Halimeda and other calcareous grows too slow and not much creature would wanna feed on them..so no point growing them.. didnt have any luck cultivating Gracilaria (Red tang heaven on ipsf.com) .. would rather use them as food
