Hi all, sorry to stir up such a commotion. MAybe all brands have their pros and cons. Im sorry if i caused any unrest:( As for me, HNS or beckett is way outta my budget. Am thinking of either a big macro or the AQUA C remora. am thinking of a 3(length) x1.5 (breadth) x 3 (height) custom tank in the next 6mths to a year. So if im going to upgrade that, can i use my current 2 feet tank for the sump and use the $200 worth skimmer ? sorry if some of my questions might sound dumb...im just trying to learn Cheers!

hmm know i understand what gouldian means ...hahah actually u need to get alot of rocks for the timid fishes to hide, so they will be less stress and look 'prettier'. Ive also got the news from Gouldian that 2 feet cannot rear tangs. Maybe i start with other fishes first Cheers !

No ive not. Im still trying to get a feedback on skimmers. Am can i get a decent skimmer with $200 ? Or should i just use my $10 skimmer till i change to my 3 feet. ?

But i will prefer some good advice on a skimmer:) Am currently setting my budget to 150 -200. surely this can get me at least a decent skimmer ? I don't want to buy another skimmer if ive decided to change to 3 ft tank . cheers

im having a 2 feet also. think its small but im in the stage of learning. so when i become more knowledgeable, ill change it to a 3 feet my 2 coins

hi ...1 wk is too little time. too many nemo with 1 anemone will cause unrest. u have to tickle the anemone and wait for him to let loose. and 2-3 kg is not enough. u need MORE !! Im a newbie as well, but these are the correct way to cycle the tank so that your fishes stay healthy and not die in months or weeks time.

OH that seems like alot of work to be done. For my case, im jsut going into the NO3 stage of cycling bacteria. I didn,t know that LS couldnt go in straight and killed quite a number of fishes... After reading and picking up tips from seniors, im finally getting somewhere. I will also take note of your 25% fortnight water change. But as for the rest, is it necessary for my FOWLR setup ? Im planning to stick to FOWLR till im ready in maybe a years time? With better experience, more knowledge and better equipment before i take the huge step. Am planing to add a Blue tang and yellow tang to my existing snowflake eel . U got any comments or tips for me ?
