Has found the solution to the above problem, all timers under high load should be protected by a contactor to do the switching job to prevent such problem and also the life span especially the single module type.

There are actually 4 type of timers under this analog catergory (hager brand). 1) Model EH010 - single module w/o auto timing, so when power failure have to reset the timing. Cheapest of all ($33-$35) 2) Model EH011 - single module with auto timing. ($43-45) 3) Model EH110 - three module w/o auto timing. 4) Model EH111 - three module with auto timing. But for sure using this timers will reduce the number of power points needed and also prevent any loose connection of your equipment when plug to those normal timer. The three module takes up quite a lot of space in the control box and the price is around $60.

Remove all your corals and empty the entire tank water(store the water in few containers, so you can pour it back later) to very low level, then use a net to catch it. Make sure it don't swim into the cave where you have problem catching it.

Hi Lion, They are using conductivity meter to test the DI water. What is the acceptable range, I dunno! Maybe the expert can enlighten us.

Most likely since they are from the same family. I have tried putting 3 small YT in my tank with a medium size PT and all 3 YT died less than 1 week. The PT chase and wrack them once introduce. Currently I have 1 YT and 1 PT both of the same size, fight for many weeks but now settle down very well. Size of your tank is important to house more than 1 tang and is best to quarantine them before introducing into your main tank.

You can try sand star, they are much more effective.

Its still better to cycle your LR in another container with a PH then to add into your main tank. NH4 might spike once LR being introduced.

It should be a green bubble tip elephant ear mushroom or a melon mushroom. $25 might be a little bit on the high side. A lot of LS depended on the source/location, price might be different ever though they are or look alike. Be wise and happy reefing.

Hi Kiong, What is the full dimension of your tank? Thickness of the glass? Any center support or euro bracing?

Is better to have 1" sand bed for Berlin system, anything between 2" to 5" does not help in reducing nitrate. But if you prefer to have DSB, then you should use #1 sand and top up to 6" or more.
