In the first place, you should not add both at the same time. Try to add them on a alternate day. Since you have a calcium reactor, I don't see there is any need to add calcium unless your CA is under capacity. IMO when dKH is high, calcium should be low.

IMO. You must quarantine the fish, especially fishes of this size. Minor stress from existing fishes in your tank will kill the fish.

The weight is actual spread throughout the cabinet cause existing horizontal plank(just above the sump area) is supported by the entire cabinet and its also mounted against the wall on the right side, and the door frame support on the left side. Kind of complicated. Workmanship is very important inorder to balance the total weight.
