I was also attracted by Nemo.But the real attraction which make mi go into marine is My 1st BLUE tang. I saw 1 beautiful 10cm blue tang at a farm in pasir ris. From that days onwards, i purchase all the necessary equipment (skimmer,salt,rock,light,etc) I bought it back at a price of $18. From that days onwards, keep donate $$$ to LFS until i satisfied with my marine tank. Had been keep Marine for ard 1 yrs. After my blue tang dies due to disease. Give up marine fish. Now i back away in a nano marine (1.5ft) Last time is 4ft tank.

Needlewheel will produce very fine bubbles.But with needle pump spoilt, really difficult to find replacement or expensive to find(Tat's in the past,now dunno) Venturi doesn't produce very fine bubbles.

If u using sump...i recommend u to buy 2ft -3ft for ur marine

Sotong I dun have a sump in my system, i hang it outside my tank.That's the problem i face. But u have to do a check on it every week.If it jam, the protein skimmer won't work at all.. If any reefers selling macro skimmer, u can buy it from them. From my past, macro works better for mi.Not the needlewheel type. Mine is the venturi type. Cos needlewheel pump spoilt = HEACHACHE.

U can just buy a 'cheapo' skimmer. U can dun follow his style. Anyway u still have to do water change. Protein skimmer only help to main good water parameter. But the best way to have good water parameter is to change water....
