  1. Hi, I have a golden maroon clown about 2.5" very healthy. Eats dry pellets and seaweed. Been with me for 4 months alraedy. Got from Gold Coast at Macpherson. Lately he has been fighting with my false perculia alot. Wanna Swop my maroon for a false perculia(any size). Location at Tanjong Rhu.(EAST) Very busy at the moment. So can only swop after 8 ard my place. (or weekends anytime) Thanx! PM for those interested.
  2. Hi! Recently, after adding an anemone into my tank and after it has hosted my maroon clown, my maroon clown has been sweeping the sand non-stop. It has never done that in the last 3 months since I got him. It has been sweeping the sand for a week and now there''s a "hole" as in can see the base of my tank already. (3 inches sand) (sigh...) Is he going mad???? Btw, my anemone is attached to a LR and not the sand. Thanx!
  3. Hi! There is one in Katong shopping Centre itself. Downstairs-Basement. (He has very nice show tank with tons of corals)(price quite reasonable, but not many fishes.) There is also 1 in Joo Chait. Got tons of fishes.. hehe.. but has a lot dead fishes in tanks too! There is one at Eunos MRT too. healthy fishes.(new stocks comes every wednesday.) Further in the East/Central will be reborn at lavender street. I guess the nearest to your question(marine/parade katong will be Katong shopping centre)
  4. If its jelly liked then could be sponge. I got a lot on my live rocks before my starfish ate them all up! hehe... I have seen many different color sponges in LFSs... (but then black.... er... havent seen black sponges)
  5. Yup. Think they will. Cos my shrimps and crab always loose legs or hands(craw) Then after they next molt, then the "limbs" grew back again.
  6. Star Fish has been given away. Thank you for viewing.

  8. Have got this knobbed star for 2 months. Grew very fast! Cos my tank very small(2ft) Cannot accomodate him liao. (sigh ) Very healthy... eats everything.. algae on glass and climbs all over. I feed shrimp once a week. It is about slightly 5" palm size. *Warning it will climb over and attempt to eat "feather duster" worm. (although haven't killed any yet! ) Good for FOWLER only tanks. (preferbly to a bigger tank >2ft) Collection in the East. Thankx. !
  9. Wow. Thanx Gouldian. So much useful info there. Hmm... So next time instead of using Lugols deep for corals can also use my current iodide solution then. Thanx again.
  10. Hmm... so whats the difference between iodine and iodide? (as prec asked) Yup. Now contemplating to sell away the trochus snail. (seems to be like a russian tank... he just moves and knock everything in its way.... sigh)
  11. Hi! I just bought this Aquapharm Iodine and tried adding about a few drops todae. But the bottle says to add more. But then I guess will try a few drops everyday 1st. Todae looking very bad. The tentacles totally closed already. Seems like his not goin to make it. sigh...

Interested to swap for any anemone for my clown fish or any sun coral. Willing to sell also.(to a bigger tank >2ft) Collection in the East. Thankx. !
  13. wow. thanx Gouldian. So much useful info there. I do have 2 cleaner shrimps and 2 sand shifters.... and 1 turbo snail. They moved a lot and thus you could see some sand on my rocks. Also my strange maroon clown likes to sweep its tail very hard at certain spots creating a "sand storm" Dun really know what he is doing. Thus sometimes I see a few holes on the sandbed. Cos the maroon clown was stirring sand at these spots.
  14. Hmm. I see... Yup. I did noticed(when diving) that those shallow corals are very nice and colorful. But those deeper(not so much sunlight) also there were some which were colorful and luminous ones. So actually there isn't one light that is sufficient(imitate the sunlight needed) for the corals?
  15. I have 1 LR above this one and 1 LR below. Was told that shud put my dead rock between. I was told by the store owner that they dun like sand. hmmm... So far It was doing well until being pushed down by the silly snail. Iodine? Thanx Venezia. Will go and get a bottle tom and try. Thank you very much. Will try to update with picture if it recovers. Thank you!
  16. Hi All, Saw a bug that look like a mini-cockroach(about 2-3mm) that was stuck on my maroon clown a week ago. I tried to remove it but it swam and hid itself.(pretty quick) After that I noticed there was like a "bite" mark on the fish's body and blood. This week again I notice the same bite mark on my blue tang. I want to remove(or KILL ) this bug that is ###### blood from my fishes. Anyone has similar experience and can help? Please? It is slightly transparent and small and round like cockroach. Swims very very fast and have only manage to catch a glimse of it once. Will take a picture of it if I can. Thank you very much.
  17. Just tried to take a pict. Hope its clear enuf. The length of the tentacles used to be 2 to 3 times longer. (Anyway to "repair" it? )
  18. But how? In the sea, under there all dark dark one leh. Cos I went cairns even the Great Barrier Reef those quite shallow ones also I see like not very bright leh. Was just wondering cos I tot in out tanks we use MH and T5s so hot... Compared to the corals in the nature wouldnt it be a bit "too much"??? Just a thought.
  19. Hi All... Need help. My green bubble anemone plate recently was pushed by snail accidently and it fell from a LR down to the sand. The next day when I discover it and put it back, think it was too late as 1 part of it "melted". I tried to gave it as much attention these few days and the rest of the tentacles have started to extend back. But the "mouth" has been opened wide ever since. I tried feeding small pieces of shrimp which I do every alternate days. It just doesnt eat anymore. And the part that melted doesnt seem to grow back. I was just wondering if there is any way which I could save my poor plate? Will the "melted" parts grow back? Thank you very much.
  20. Just a tot. I was thinking we have got T5s MHs set up for our tanks for the corals... But then in the nature.. when the corals are in the sea, are they also getting so much light? Cos I was just wondering when I go diving and visiting corals, usually we bring torches as it is dark in the water. Any thoughts anyone?
  21. its not cos initially was ok... then put liao next day the whole body white patches.. but after i remove last nite my 'nemo' ok liao. the body back to normal again.(clear) wah! 2-3 weeks... mine more than 1month liao! heheh I think i "sun ci zi ran" already... let nature takes its course...
  22. I just moved my perculia clown and pink bubble tip into a breeding box last nite hoping that the anemone would host the fish. Got a shock this morning!!! My clown had all these white patches all over his body! (like stung... tot he was dying!!! ) Immediately released both back into the tank. My 'nemo' is ok liao...(just checked.) happily swimming all over and eating... but then not goin near the anemone. Just a warning to anyone else wanting to try... think dun... feel so heartache for the fish this morning.. regreted my action.
