your vossloh ballast is dual 39w?

my ballast can drive 36- 40w, just needed some feedback on how quickly the tubes deteriorate without true t5 ballast?

i got an elibru eballast for 36w pl, can i use it to drive the 39w t5? also, anyone can advise whether using a ballast without preheat features will shorten the lifespan of the tube drastically? in which case i would probably be getting a t5 ballast instead.

seems to me that one of my fishes is cyanide caught.. fins seems to be degenerating.. and developing pop eye after it has started eating.

despite the many theories that people have put forward regarding dsb, i wonder if there are any concrete experimental results to validate the theories?

i think fw dips can help a bit cos it can kill off the ich on the fish.. usually i give fw bath to fish before they go into the tank since yours is a fowlr tank, maybe u can do hyposalinity for some time, coupled with uvc? then try feeding garlic soaked food to your fishes.. if your fishes are still feeding then should have a good chance of recovery. HTH though i'm still quite new

very impressive! but one thing i'm wondering is that according to gas laws, bubbles are supposed to expand when they rise right? so while a higher skimmer provides more reaction time, will the bubbles inside the skimmer become larger? according to what i've read, having fine bubbles will give better skimmate right?
