Yup. believed enough because of the depth (only 12").. 10mm enough and its euro braced. Used to run a tank with 8mm glass for a year.. ok also... as for the formulas and numbers... me not so technical.. . maybe i will know the answer if it crashed next time. but until then.. will have to keep fingers crossed... any bro/sis to comments?

Hint: better to have a male and female set for each ends of the pipes for unions.. Reason being if ever you need to change the configuration.... you'll just need to get 1 union instead of 2 (if you used a male-male config or female-female config).. Hope this helps

QN: I'll be cutting a hole on my cabinet in order for pipings for the tank to link to the sump below. How should i cut the hole? .. a single rectangle, covering all four holes; or four separately holes bored each for individual pipe?.. Criteria: 1. Which method will be easier to plump subsequently? 2. Which will be easier to cut on the cabinet top? (I got tools for both methods).. Any recommendations? Thanks

The styrofoam base that the tank will sit on. The holes are marked on it so that i can pre-drill the returns and overflow on my cabinet b4 the tank is delivered.... it kinda thin... will it be enough to "cushion" and spread the weight?
-
The holes for the return drilled.. I'm using 3/4" for returns and 1 1/2" for overflow. Implementing Reef Central's Herbie method. http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/showthre...mp&pagenumber=1

was at the tank maker's to make my presence felt.. (I'm 90kg.. hehehe :>) Tank was abt 60% done. Seems like i won't be getting the tank today as well (even though maker says "Jin Liang" - try his best...) Managed to sneak some pics though. 60% tank - 10mm thickness.

yes.. glad that the info is helpful.. That the main purpose for this thread actually .. to hear any advises or to learn from fellow reefers.. had many ideas coming from your thread itself, Jervis.. BTW my H&S skimmer's aquabee pump has some problem starting up, sometimes can sometimes cannot (due to stopping reefing for 1 year) .. think its the greasing on the needle wheel.. anyone knows which kinda SAE/grease will be helpful (non toxic) or any bro knows how to service this?..
