  1. Hi all, Purple Tang 4 inches to let go. Bid ends this sunday 7 Dec 2008 2359hrs. Start from $1. Collection at: Mountbatten area.
  2. Bro, Can pass mine to u as I've not used it since i bought it. better to freeze it in thin slabs though.
  3. Hi Bro, basically its a concept i refer off reef central. 2 for overflow and 2 for return. This design will ensure the overflow will be absolutely quiet whilst providing for redundancy. The overflow height are of 2 levels. So I basically tune the amount of overflow to cover the 1st overflow fully (reducing the noise). So in any case when the first overflow gets stuck (Murphy's law), then the water will raise over the 2nd overflow (which acts as backup)... So far, very happy with results. Feel free to drop by should u wanna reference. Cheers.

  8. really depends on needs. for me.. my considerations that eventually made me choose a 1ft tank 1. lighting needs t5 is enuff 2. more light == more chilling power. 3. ease of maintenance. 4. 10 mm glass required 5. not deep enough to get drowned in it.. hahhaha :> bro, anymore think it will have to be a separate thread. you can check out my tank thread. Cheers.
  9. Hi bro, welcome to the "top view" club.. for a tank that size.. should be hard to find ppl selling cos its quite a weird size. suggest u custom.. will be less then $100 as 10mm will do for that height.

  12. Hi, what i did was to leave the water overnight to aerate so that ph is reached. then add buffer (so that the content are properly binded when mixing salt) before adding salt mix... BTW this is for water change not topup.. HTH.
  13. Managed to get my buddy to monitor my tank.. phew.. I think can travel in peace liao... anyways... some interesting news for reefers that are on Aquatronica.. Aquatronica takes pleasure in presenting its new products to the public. They enrich its electronic control systems with new and interesting functions: * Its new, more modern and more functional design makes the new Aquarium Controller (ACQ110) a true furnishing item; its functions remain unaltered so as to guarantee total reliability in controlling and managing your aquarium. * The new Aquatronica Interfaces are characterised by a new, more ergonomic and functional shape; the special matching bracket makes it possible to house them everywhere. Their electronics instead remains unaltered. * The Lights Dimmer 0-10V module (ACQ250) will allow to adjust the on period and lighting intensity of the lamps with neon installed in your aquarium; the lamps can be programmed via PC or via Controller. * With the Pumps Dimmer module (ACQ455), it will be possible to install and control Hydor Koralia reciprocating pumps inside your Aquarium Controller system, so Wave and Tide effects are reproduced. Its quick and simple programming can be done from a PC or directly from the Controller. * The new "Easy Plug" range of power units (ACQ005), to be combined with the Multitester (ACQ150) to manage 2 sockets depending on the data detected on the two sensors connected to the Multitester, is now wider: now it also includes the UK (ACQ005-UK) and Australia (ACQ005-AUS) versions. * As of today, the spare part for dosing pumps (ACQ426) will allow the dosing pump kit (ACQ450) to always be in perfect operation at top performance. Come discover the new Aquatronica products in the products section!
  14. By slab i meant fill up with ziplock with food so that it freezes into a slab.. but bro.. that is a good idea!!!.. I'll do that for my next batch... Cheers.

HTH..
  18. anyone willing to try the food (er i meant for your tank's inhabitants)?? I think I'm gonna spare 2 reefers half a slab each.. (should be able to last 3 weeks).. Collection at mountbatten area. PM if interested. FCFS Cheers.
  19. Hi peacemaker, yup, did think about it.. in fact i even bought the trays. size is perfect.. thing is.. either i have another mini fridge to freeze these, being coverless, i think its gonna stink up the fridge.. possible incurring wrath of CFO..
  20. Oh YES.. Good idea bro.. on the labelling.. I don't want to feed myself with it.. <yucks> bro, will share with you if any frags.. Cheers.
  21. Verdict.. its not too troublesome getting the mix done... especially they are fresh from the mill.. i will think the portion can last me at least 3 months... Now, someone once told me that the apples you gotten from the supermarket are picked months b4 they arrived in your home.. i wonder how long it takes from the harvesting to manufacture n sales of of freeze food takes... :D :>
  22. The remaining mix in the bowl, it will be dinner time for the inhabitants...
