ahh~ i see. i didnt know they are featuring such interviews. the MD of the rabbit brand is a singaporean? and its true that many chinese loves shark fins but not all. i only had it before when i was a kid, i never touched it in my meals even though its been served infront of me. i can't remember when the last time i had it. the irony is that my mum always said im stupid not to eat those stuff! sky107line: thanks for the heads up mate. it looks real good though, think gotta lay my hands on it if i ever see it.

Gong xi fa cai guys. i missed the movie last month. im waiting for the dvd now. but i think we need to wait for a few more months before the DVD hit our shore. i read somewhere that the DVD only will be release on april 08, 2008. if u guys manage to find it earlier, do post here and let me know. and Gouldian, what "misunderstanding" is there? and sky107line, how much you got the DVDs? looks good to me. how was it? and of course, if u drive north far enough, you have better chance of getting it sooner and cheaper.

a great welcome back mate! real neat stuff! patience is one of the keys to success in this hobby. so try to be patience when adding LS though i know its hard to control. for that tank that size, i suggest you avoid ozone and add a UV instead. this handy tool helps alot. cheers mate, reef on! and happy lunar new year too!

dun give up mate. i once faced the same problem like you did but i didnt give up though. they later supported me at the later stage. jia you jia you.

till date, i have not seen anything magnet that thin. furthermore i once used a very small one but the result was simply dissappointing. it cant remove those relatively more stubborn algaes in my past normal 2 feet "5 plan" tank. my advice to you is try to rearrange ur rock works and get a good magnet like the "algae free", the result was really good. im using a hammerhead personally and im very satisfied with it. but one thing u WANT to take note is always ensure that theres no hard particles in between the magnets. those stuff can do real painful eye sore to u. and keep those things away from those who are "helpful" or got itchy hands. despite what i adviced, i still hope you manage to find a very thin one. good luck in your search and have a happy lunar new year happy reefing!

Pain to change water ( New Setup as well) + Sump tank query
LaW replied to Alucard's topic in New to the Marine Aquaria Hobby
welcome to src! check this link as you might find your answer regarding water change. http://reefkeeping.com/issues/2007-11/nftt/index.php you can either change with the help from the natural sea water supplier or mix ur own with a fairly big containter. with that size, 150 ~ 200liter ones will be good enough for one change. happy reefing mate~ -
manage to track back history and found one of the link that you might find it useful and most importantly "consoling" and you will need alot of hardwork if u can feel the scratch marks with your finger nails. check it out mate. http://www.bostonaquariumsociety.org/html/faqs/scratches.htm

hmm it shouldnt be starving but i think in the long run, it will lose its real intense colors. and jervis, try asking those "glass carpenter" too. and make sure u get a reputable glass removal kit. im not an expert in these for as far as i know but i did done a fair amount of research on it, alot of these type of scratch removing thingy are simply bs. so spend more time looking for a good one and tell us the results!

good that everyone settle things out rather peacefully. and bryanong, i believe and do understand you are a victim and how u feel about all these. it sure to be irritating but just let it rest because there's alot of possibilites in these cases to come. im sure theres still many good rhomboid shipments to come right? so chill happy reefing mate! dun let all these spolit ur mood and affect ur passion in this hobby!

what is recommended turnover rate for water
LaW replied to vt_snowman87's topic in General Reefkeeping_
i use to have a 15 gallon with a 2000liter return. really too strong in my opinion. use 1000-1500 instead. furthermore that tank side used with a SCDW will be nice. save you from using wave makers. -
i understand how you feel jervis, it sure heartache to know you are the one who scratch it. make sure u do alot of research on it. if you dunno how to do it, you will make it worst with alot more cloudy scratch marks. and by doing that, you are creating stress concentration there, you are weakening that part of ur tank. btw, how you scratch it?

AM carrys range of hydor pumps.

air stones can do the job, but wood ones create even finer bubbles. dun risk it, get the respectable brand wooden ones instead. all the best, hope you wont lose anything. but i bet if you prepare well enough, you surely can pull through this without any sweat. jiayou!
