for those who came to my place to collect corals earlier this month and realise how messy my tank was. the tank have become more neat now. with an addition tree like rock added in the middle mainly for euphyllia. will add more euphyllias. some are in the process of healing. i utilized pegging for those stage. i will say this method is extremely useful. i even bought drills for my rocks. might drill more holes thru.

the grading is simple the range of sizes. grade 0 is the finest, so fine that makes it looks like table sugar grade 1 is slightly bigger. grade 2, even larger. and 3 is more of pebbles sized. for marine, if you want to keep animal that sleeps in the sand, go for grade 0 to be safe. grade 1 is the max you can go if you want safety for them. but then while it is extremely beautiful to have grade 0 sand, it is extremely easy to get sand storm as well. happy reefing.

it is known that these filter medias are of nitrate factory in the long term. what makes biohomes so stand out and expensive is that the manufacturer claims that it has the highest surface area for bacteria to grow on and as such, its allow anerobic bacteria to grow within each piece of biohome to reduce nitrate. how effective is biohomes? that i couldn't answer you confidently. but of all, best to spend more to get the biohomes. hope that helps you understand more. happy reefing.

i got it at about S$1.2k + shipping. i like their quality on the overall, but i find their needlewheel breaks easily IME. and if you are getting from local agent, be prepared to pay a crazy price and if i am still correct, they dun bring in such a big boy.
