me too have those garlic smell after using that seachem garlic guard. but it will be gone after a few hours. i count that normal. shldnt be a problem.

yeah geoliquid its good. go for activated carbon too, it will remove stinky stuff from ur water. just introduce some into ur filteration system if u dun have them there. theres pros and cons using it too. although it clears ur water and remove odour. it remove some of ur good minerals from ur water too. cheers, LaW

i did used that before. if im not wrong it add some minerals in the tank. well atleast thats wat that guy in LFS told me. he recommended me to use it against iche. But i dun see any improvement for my fish after using it. Anyway, like the rest of the reefers said, its remove odour and make the water crystal clear. But i find it too expensive for that small volume. So its not recommended by me.

i suspect those are not algea. i think those are red slime. formed by bacteria. i do have those on my glass. use medication to get rid of it. like red slime remover. lower ur nutrient level and upgrade ur skimmer. good luck =)

those hairy stuff are dangerous. better to get rid of them asap.

3 feet darn hard to reach the bottom. not advisable for a 6 feet... go for 15mm and a sump its GREATLY advisable. if u are going for a budget, its better for u to keep a smaller tank.
