  1. yeahd, from what i heard from my parents, the people in my neighbourhood had reported this to the police. but i must say, its very professionally done, never trigger alarm, no trace and a couple of cars every night. lasted a few nights.
  2. and i wonder if the bristleworm's stings stinged the YT's mouth. if i'm you, i will take note on the mouth for a while.
  3. !!! poor fella. of course its not enough mate, my YT is choosy at first too but just give it some time and make sure the pellets size fits its mouth or else they will have difficulties eating. i feed my fish atleast twice to 5 times a day. i feed alot. if you ever got to see my YT you will know. fat fat. fat fish looks better in my opinion. of course, ur system & mantainace must be able to manage it. i recommend feeding atleast twice a day with variety. seriously atleast twice. feed it well! happy reefing
  4. wooo... first time i heard about YT eating on worms. how long you have it? it looks really skinny and hungry. feed it well. or if you did feed it well but still going skinny, it can be some internal bacteria infections. so take note on that. happy reefing
  5. Recently, there are many units in my neighbourhood had reported cashcards being stolen overnight in the car. there's no trace how the cuplrit did it. from then on the neighbourhood did try not to display or left the cashcard in the car. and of today, my dad lost 2 cash cards, valued almost $80 when he went to market earlier today. and again, did not know how the hell the culprit got into the car and stole the car from the "drawers". just to alert you drivers here, never leave ur cashcards or valuables in ur car. Even if its for just a while. do pass this message around. happy reefing. and hell to the theft.
  6. wooo.. great DIY btw, i was wondering why i can't see the videos, the link sent me to the homepage instead and from the look at the skimmate, it sure look promising!
  7. try visit gilroy, down south from SF. 1.5 to 2 hr drive. lots of factory outlets there. branded goods at dirt cheap price but... hard to find asian sizes. have a wonderful trip man. dun forget to go to the golden gate bridge and crazy horse or marketstreet threate near the bay bridge... and be careful or ur wallet when you go into these places.
  8. the shrimps are stubborn eater. they feed on only starfish's sucker feets.
  9. dose calcium supplement or get a calcium reactor. got calcium, no light also no use. get some good lightings like T5s or MH with blue actinic as supplements. basically, mantain good water quality with good lights and you will see coraline in a fair bit of time. of course, you need to seed it in ur tank if u do not have any coraline in your rocks or tank.
  10. it might have problem with ur dottyback. and its a rather peaceful fish but when fish get close to its favorite spot, it will then be more aggressive.
  11. good brands are aquabee, eheim and hydor. check out http://www.aquamarin.com.sg/abrand.asp?cat...20Water%20Pumps welcome to Singapore, hope you have a wonderful stay here.
  12. if preparing new salt mix, it may be that the salt have not totally dissolved into the water thats why giving different readings at different time or ur refractormeter have some air bubbles attached to the swing arm thus affecting the readings.
  13. hmmm most likely uncured LR. soak them in saltwater, put a air stone or two. wait for a week of 2. the smell should be gone. for worms... you decide, some people keep it as part of cleaning crews but some think they are pest. well.. most of them think they are pest actually.
  14. not for you lah dude! see the nick carefully
  15. its sad to hear that mate. just nice time be more careful with it. i never seen this starfish lying around in LFS, where you got it?
  16. read from wetwebmedia that you can try applying those iodine reef supplement on the injured part and minimize air exposure. or another way suggested by Anthony Calfo, use a razor or sharp stuff to cut away the injured leg. and try supplment it diet with mysis or shrimp im 10 days late, how is it doing now?
  17. its best to wash it, scrub it, rainse it. saltwater or freshwater doesnt matter. and i got one rubbin bin size container containing all dead rocks but mostly relatively small ones.
  18. thats bad, hope the poor fellow manage to cope well with it.
  19. sorry to hear that mate, haiz... i strongly suggest you get a new tank. it wont cost as much minus away the cabinet. treat it as buying a semi new tank. and i will feel better when its new. if reworking it, its surely not going to worth it. furthermore, will you have the peace in mind even if its repaired? i won't though. all the best mate. dun give up so easily, you barely started.
  20. good day reefers, im recently getting very bother with one of my angelfish gillspine skin is peeling off showing off the white bone. at first its just a small dot thats peeling off but after 2 week, it has propagated to almost the whole gillspine. i have deal with fungus, parasite, bacteria but never have i encounter this type of situation. do any one have any clue of what is going on? the fish itself is eating well and fat. water parameter is fine and other angels and fishes are fine. anyone experience it before and could tell me your experience and ways to solve it? sorry, currently got no camera with me so no pic of my fish. but you can rougly imagine whats going on easily. please help! thanks! warmest regards, LaW
  21. i remember a thread not long ago regarding a power filter goes together with a skimmer. if im not wrong you can buy it from C328. good luck in ur search
  22. if its just a few days, i think itsshould be fine. bring them up higher to the surface with stand or something similar. hope u catch the force face out. and dun mistreat it
  23. go with full euro bracing top to bottom with 45 degree glass or similar reinforced at each corners. personally i feel top to bottom bracing is a must and for ur case i will go for only 12mm glass. normally a tank leak is not because the glass crack/break but its the corners that caused most of the problems. so bracing is very and extremely important. of course thicker is better with higher safety factor but the price is alot higher, now i really mean alot, with just only a few mm difference. if im not wrong, the price of a 15 mm is twice of a 12mm. most of the guys/ladies here with a tank about ur size is only using 12 mm. furthermore u are using low iron glass, that will, if im not wrong again, cost even more. if i were u, i must as well get 12 mm glass and use the cash for better equipments or get better or extra silicon for the joint works. and last but not least, get a reputable tank maker to get ur job done. hope u find my input useful reef on mate! happy lunar new year too!
  24. yes its normal depending what u feed and the water parameters! reef on mate.
