i think they do help by saving some effort by pushing it and reduce some nasty scratch marks on ur flooring! lucky u place it before hand. smart. i did too leng kee road, some of the reefers works there as well. alrite mate, just pm ur number to me and see how things goes.
-
hmmm i will not go for that, who knows during or after shifting, one of ur tank feet get slanted abit, causing uneven load distribution, stress concentration etc. even if want to push, try to remove whenever you can and try to have 2 guys lift it up by the side abit with u pushing it to reduce some stress on the stand. happy reefing mate, all the best in the shifting. i stay in the west, though i know u stay in the east. just drop me a pm, im sure i can work things out with you if u ever need it.
-
unfortunately busy these days, couldnt help you. but if u need those suction thingy(those used by tank mover) for tank repositioning, can get it from me. btw, i only got one but still its a handy tool. let me know if you even need it.

LaW replied to Magixian's topic in New to the Marine Aquaria Hobby
go for more width and height. you wont regret it. 4 ft is nice. get a good skimmer, set-up a refugium. thats my advise to u. UV is good as well. and.. warm welcome back to this hobby mate. patience together with money is the key -

agree with arcanehacker. i know no device for ammonia and nitrite testing other than nitrate meter/monitor, but be prepared to pay over $400 and the calibration solution itself is going to cost you another 200. however, theres a cheaper alternative and thats testkits. pay a little more and get reputable brand like salifert. our sponsor Aquamarine carries it. check out the link below. http://www.aquamarin.com.sg/aproducts.asp?...t%20Kits%20test happy reefing mate and be patience with this hobby and a warm welcome to this forum

buy and stack more. larger piece is good. or you can try using existing piece and place them more "vertically upright" to give a "more rocks feel" but still i predict you lack of more LRs.
-

let me share one. FOUR FRIENDS AT A PARTY !!!!!!!! Four friends, who hadn't seen each other in 30 years, reunited at a party. After several drinks, one of the men had to use the rest room. Those who remained talked about their kids. The first guy said, 'My son is my pride and joy. He startedworking at a successful company at the bottom of the barrel. He studied Economics and Business Administration and soon began to climb the corporate ladder and now he's the president of the company. He became so rich that he gave his best friend a top of the line Mercedes for his birthday.' The second guy said, 'Darn, that's terrific! My son is also my pride and joy. He started working for a big airline, and then went to flight school to become a pilot. Eventually he became a partner in the company, where he owns the majority of its assets. He's so rich that he gave his best friend a brand new jet for his birthday.' The third man said: 'Well, that's terrific! My son studied in the best universities and became an engineer. Then he started his own construction company and is now a multimillionaire. He also gave away something very nice and expensive to his best friend for his birthday: A 30,000 square foot mansion.' The three friends congratulated each other just as the fourth returned from the restroom and asked: 'What are all the congratulations for?' One of the three said: 'We were talking about the pride we feel for the successes of our sons. ....What about your son?' The fourth man replied: 'My son is gay and makes a living dancing as a stripper at a nightclub.' The three friends said: 'What a shame...what a disappointment.' The fourth man replied: 'No, I'm not ashamed. He's my son and I love him. And he hasn't done too bad either. His birthday was two weeks ago, and he received a beautiful 30,000 square foot mansion, a brand new jet and a top of the line Mercedes from his three boyfriends. !!!!!!

that im unsure off, im using eheims mostly for my filtration equipments and RioHF for returns. for that you will need to use the chart for comparison. ehiem good quality, reviewed having a long life, but energy consumption is rather higher by quite a fair bit. i would suggest try to go for RioHyperflow series if you want to save money on both equipment and electricity bills. But also be prepared that Rio is still "what you pay is what you get" kind of stuff.
-
Rio pumps, IMO, are noisey. unless noise is not a factor for you. go for it and from previous experience from pple here, rio pumps is rather "what you pay is what you get". I personally using 2 HF32 at the moment, complain is that its noisey sometime but i leave it in the living room, so it wont hurt my family much. I would always go for the larger flow, why not right? but dun do it till too extreme lah.
-
anytime dude. aquabees are not pressure rated so performance will drop quite abit when it comes to height. but still aquabees are still good pumps considering durability, noise level and energy efficiency. happy reefing mate!

yes its read that way. however, that one is for Height reference only, without including horizontal height. however from an article i read, 1Vertical = 6Horizontal, for example, 6m horizontal is about 1m vertical. so you might want to take that as a reference. and of course, that doesnt include elbows, coupling, vavles or unions for ur case, 1.3m (V) + 1.3m (H) = 1.3m (V) + 0.217m (V) = 1.517m (V) so read from 1.52m Head instead. From the graph, its around 1250l/hr as usual its just for reference. hope you will find this information useful happy reefing
