never use 2 pumps for such purpose. even for the same brand, same model pump, they are still going to produce slight different output and not considering the head lost. using a ball to control it is a also a no no. u will sooner or later experience a flood. using gravity feed instead. just one pump is needed. a refugium below ur tank or above it will do. happy reefing

way to go Weapon and for some reason, if anyone every realise, someone is trying to slam one's product or LFS. or am i being too sensitive here.

great potential tank in the make. and ur tank is in good hands. actually, and i like your house. nice house with those shimmering color changing lights! and a warm welcome to you to this forum. happy reefing mate. hope you have a pleasent experience here.

yeah still having that! you need to rest since u need to work. so did u get your new toy?
-
of course i remember you! you are one of the most friendly guy i speak, or typed, to here! i got no negative comment on it. for the money you spent, its exceptionally worth it for getting a 2 in one as compared with, almost same pricing, other brand with just single measurment. im using one as well. its good and however theres only 1 calibration knob for ph and none for orp. but fear not, other brands like aquamedic got no calibration knob for their orp monitor. i tested the accuracy of the orp probe yesterday after leaving in store for 3 years and guess what?! its reading 403 on a 400 pinpoint orp calibration fluid, the manual said a +- 5mV error! still accurate and really didnt need any calibration.

tts sad.. it gotta cost u a bomb, how much u paid for the pair? any idea why it died? shock? or agression?
-
hiz wilson, its been a while and im glad u made shifting your tank. it does allow you to monitor both ph and orp with just a switch from display. and the above controller can control ONLY either one of the orp or ph. no both but just either of ur orp for ozonizer or ph for CR happy reefing mate

how long u had it? the days before, did u ever notice any white flesh on the starfish?

why is there white stuff in my salt mix water?
LaW replied to markietan's topic in New to the Marine Aquaria Hobby
its most likely calcium prepicipate. i experience that and finding it harder to dissolve as well if i didn't seal the salt properly. for those clumps, suspense in the water, then crush it to powder form again, that will make it easier to dissolve. happy reefing! -
high aquarium means higher pressure, means thicker glass needed.

i have a sulphur d with 3.5kg beads in it. its a recirculating running in my 250g. the sulphur d needs monitoring thru out the initial stage but i will say wont be less than a month to get the right flow. and my sulpur d kicked in from as fast as from the 4th day using it. the water coming out is acidic so i add about 2 kg of aragonite to buffer it and the ph of the water coming out is about 7. and monitor ur ph in ur main tank, since using a sulphur d, the tank ph lower by abit, and i need to use abit of buffer once in while. for sulfate in tank water, there is no known threat to it. you can either use lower sulphur content salt. hear coralife is one of them. and futhermore, with proper water change, sulphur should never be a problem. and if im not wrong, from what i read somewhere in RC, it gives out 3 SO4 for 2 NO3. this value is not very signficant when sea water SO4 is around 2700ppm.

Pls help ID this nasty looking fella...
LaW replied to peacemaker's topic in Disease treatment/parasite/pest control
especially when its feeding on live bait like crab, crayfish etc. you should see how they attack. they are very intelligent. admirable. but not in a reef tank. turn on ur volume. -
