  1. Hope you like it Chua. was my pleasure meeting you. will drop by some day to view ur sps collections. have fun with ur new toy. i believe that fella is able to pack a punch. and i believe ur glass used are of low iron for the least. its so clear and didnt have a tint of green.
  2. no guarantees, heard of potter angel have higher tendency of touching on corals. perhaps you can try flame angel, might be safer than potter IMO. btw, they love zoas, brain coral and prata.
  3. hi mad, you can try C328 or petmart. but best to call before heading down. most recent case i seen on those quick release was at pasir ris farmway 1 last week. i think the name is new world aquarium, that very big freshwater farm with a big fish accessory shop. you can try ur luck there as well.
  4. my bet will be brown jelly disease. hard to cure as they keep coming back. you can try fragging it or dip in lugol's solution or antibiotic treated water. and to slow it from infecting, siphon out the brown jelly. and blow out others. it will slow down the bacteria and give u time to try to treat it. reasons for infection can be ur coral is injured and have open wound and ur water parameters are not in check, i suspect u have high nitrate. all the best.
  5. food helps abit, but mostly is environmental. if theres 1 female or few female around a male, chances are fish will still dull off. you need more than just a couple of female or rival males to make them keep their color. almost all fairy wrasse i kept tend to dull their colors off. be it flame or laboutei or naoko or condei. they will still dull off.
  6. nothing much there. quiet + quiet+ quiet. maybe PBT can check out at ah beng there.
  7. in conclusion wrasse darn easy to feed till to their greedy nature. wrasse have a greedy meaning in latin and also because of their greedy nature, they tend to eat even when they are not feeling too well. and when you realise that its not feeding, it might be a little too late. and they get stressed easily, and very subtainable to bacteria infection. so watch up for that
  8. updates updates. kitro, the new shop beside i-aquarium still have some nice US zoas.
  9. $80 @ lck for those large bucket. oceanic should be better than coralife in terms of review. but i can be wrong.
  10. resize to smaller jpeg format. this should be able to solve ur problem they are free software to resize photograph. try google for it.
  11. it can open bigger, give it time. if tmr or the day after next is still like that, its either ur tank got problem or ur new clam.
  12. looks like normal zoas to me. no white light pic?
  13. Here's the address, they have alot of raw aluminium material. alot of possibilities of different DIY. and yes, they do have those sliding mechanism as well. but you need to pay more for those. take time to look at it and see what your final design needs. Teck Cheong Aluminium (Pte) Ltd 803 King George'S Avenue, #01-246/248/250 Singapore 200803 Singapore tel: +65 65-62949650 fax: +65 65-62989976
  14. do bear in mind that fish need a fair amount of light to retain its color. speaking from personal experience. happy reefing
  15. LOL fred, i like your statement. up for you
  16. part of this hobby, dun let it bother you too much. happy reefing.
  17. sorry to hear that, its either ur midas is ill, or got bullied. it happened to me before, it suddenly stop coming out and later went MIA totally when there is ni aggression at all. but hope urs is just agression problem. these cases are hard to solve when there is not enough information from your side. all the best.
  18. still no chioce ah. just disturb you only, got zoas and prata etc. think its angel's haven. but i dun want them to get wipe outl up for you.
  19. actually, sometimes if you didnt change the filter for too long. ur TDS meter reading is higher than normal tap water. good or not good? to be honest im not sure, but i dun see any casualty last time from using it. my advice is get those RO/DI unit. they gives water of better purity. marine don't need what we need, they only need those of less pollutant. all the best and enjoy ur reef.
  20. im interested, got special discount for me?
  21. Hi TopCat, a very warm welcome to you to our community. you may, as i used something similar in the past. but the best its still a DI or RO/DI filter for very pure water. have fun in reefing
  22. with a bloody fast lens! off topic btw, my guess will be it eating too much that its tummy is stretches out. so the color pigment got stretches as well. thats my guess. but if that fella its eating well, it should be of no problem.
