Saw this fella at LCK. The girls do not know what tang this is, but were sure that it is not an Atlantic Blue.. Boss was not around.. Anyway, liked what I saw and pricing very affordable. So decided to bring it home. 2 photos. 1st one in plastic bag, 2nd in betta box. Both taken with flash, the blue lines are not so luminous, more like purplish blue in real life.

Have successfully trapped a 6-liner before using a mirror and a mineral water bottle. Just cut the water bottle (500ml one is enough) below the neck. Stick a small round mirror on the interior base of the bottle. Tie a fishing line to the bottle, long enough for you to pull the bottle out without getting yourself wet. Being aggressive, the 6 liner will dart in and out of the bottle to fight its own image in the mirror. Let it do so for a while. Once it starts to linger longer in the bottle, you will have all the time in the world to fish the bottle out with the fishy inside.

Haiz, then within 20 seconds, they crept back into the darkness again.. Sigh, let them grow out of their shyness bah..

Hi, have bought 2 cleaner shrimps a few weeks ago. Happily see them for the 1st nite, then 2nd day no trace of them ever since. So thought that they had died or something.. Today while scanning the tank, peeked through a gap thru the live rocks are the 2 of them... deep at the back of the rocks. The gap is only 1 square centimetre wide. and it is a real shame not to be able to admire the shrimps. Is there any possible way to entice them to the front of the rockscape?

Erm no lah, the chiller still inside the house. The chiller is flushed to the windows only. I am not confident as yet to mount it outside of house DIY style.. no doubt i can find aircon men to install external brackets just like for aircons.. As the window is just next to the tank (about 1 metre), the hose exposed to sight is not too bad. Anyway the hose runs behind my skimmer. I keep it as neat as possible. See attached pic, you can imagine the chiller at window height and hoses behind the skimmer. I don't have a pic with the chiller mounted thugh..

My tank is just next to a window. I mount the chiller with a pair of shelf brackets and plywood board. This shelf is window ledge height level. The warm air is blown outwards the window. Above the chiller I place a pc of mounting board to block the rain. Need to see your floor plan before I can recommend a good position for you. Cheers

Haha no probs.. Actually if you're concerned with the elect $, this is a good choice for it consumes little energy.. Much much lower elect than the China-made ones, for the same cooling capacity. Rgds

Hi found a lot of baby snails (look like turbo) on the tank walls. I currently have 3 x astreas, and 6 x turbos. All active. But 2 days after finding the babies, found a dead turbo on the sandbed. I suspect the dead turbo is the mama. Is this natural? I couldn't get a good shot of the babies as my DC cannot focus on the tiny snails, even in macro mode...
