  1. Hi Onizuka, I seriously cannot remember exactly how much I paid for this fella, coz I got a few other items at CF that day. But it's around 10-ish..
  2. Eh Lemonlemon, You walking encyclopedia or something? Amazing man, your knowledge..
  3. I would say that this is my "Best LS Buy in 2009" haha.. Too bad this is too risky a specimen for reef tanks..
  4. Hi, Have been battling the aiptasia for the longest time, growing out of control, due largely to my laziness, heavy feeding, and non-existent husbandary skills on my 6-ft fowlr. At its peak, I would count up to 25 large-sized pest basking in full glory, some as big as 4-5cm in diameter (just the flesh, not including the tentacles ok!) Some of the LS I tried: (didn't try injecting w stuff recommended... just too lazy, and many of them in crevices thats hard to reach) 1. Seagrass filefish - Not a single bite, for the past 1year+ was just waiting for feeding every nite. Think I got a lemon. 2. Copperband butterfly - tried 2 specimens. 1st one, I thought was a little too puny, just about 3". Survived 3 weeks. 2nd one, got the biggest I can get. But aips still growing. Survived 2 months. 3. Peppermint shrimps - Got 4 in total, in pairs over a 2 month period. 1st pair, a liitle too small too. MIA after 2 days of sighting. 2nd pair, good size. but keeps geeting washed up the overflow. Rescued them a total of 3 times!! Almost became hae bee Regular sighting of 1 of the guys under his fav rock on sand bed, scavenging pellets every night!! Aips still growing... 1 day in Nov'09, while chatting w aunty at CF, was recommended this guy to solve this pest growth issue. Was not expensive, so gave it a try. Viola Hallelujah!!! Last week while relaxing in front of the tank, realised that I could not find a single aiptasia in the tank at all, and have remained aip-less since then! I would like to believe that this threadfin butterflyfish has got something to do with this, perhaps even with the ninja assassin skills of the hiding peppermint shrimps wiped out the colony. Best part, this butterfly fish is cheonging for pellets every feeding time. Now my fav fish in the tank.. Pic courtesy of www.liveaquaria.com
  5. Totally brand new in its original packaging box. Will be carrying with me in my car. Can deliver to you anywhere you are. SMS me for fast deal. 94552509 KK
  6. Forgot to add.. These are big specimens. 6" is really conservative estimate.. The Sailfin might just be 7-8" So... Your tanks should be big for these guys just to glide.. Mine is a 6-fter. This will explain the growth. Foxface started as a 3" fella (1 year in my tank) Mata tang started as a 4" (10 months in my tank) Sailfin almost started as a 3" (2 years in my tank) More pix..
  7. HI guys, Sms me for viewing or deal. 94552509. Bedok Reservoir. Fishes still in main tank. Once confirmed, will then net the fish and can deliver to you. 1. Sailfin tang : $20 2. Foxface : $12 3. Mata Tang $20.
  8. Just came back from LCK and got myself 2 good sized peppermint shrimps for 3 red notes. Still left 4 ABTs and 4 ATs. Fire shrimps are also HUGE.. swee.. lots of them.. ard 2 red notes for the XXL ones.. Plenty of YTs, small, medium and large.. Royal Grammas. Some Sohal left also.
  9. Thanks bro, Your fren got the one at LCK? It's a beauty. (If I had struck TOTO I could have afforded it.. ) I was quite excited as it was the first time I've seen a real life specimen. Maybe can take a few shots and post it? okok.. enough.. Back to the current LFS scene.. Wonder if LCK still got any ABTs left?
  10. Yo Bro, Didn't mix up the 2 lah. 2 of my fav farms leh.. If you read my post again, I said i saw it at LCK. And the price is $3digit (China girl quote). Size definitely >6"-7". I also asked permission before I took the pic. (hp cam, thus lousy quality) The one at CF should be the $4digit one.
  11. Yup saw it on Sat 1pm. LCK, not CF. But no, it certainly was more than 6". It cannot be any less than 5". I have a few fishes bigger than 5", I can't be so parh-cheow. Or am I?... And was not 4digit$. Ard 2/3 of the smallest $4digit. (quoted by the shorter China girl) She also told me that it was not reserved, as at 1pm last Sat.
  12. Saw this fella at LCK over the weekend. ard 7" I think. Not reserved, but way out of my shallow budget.
  13. LOL... No lah, it's not split naturally. Probably torn by one of the agressors while fighting. Anyways, the split has started to mend already, close to 90% healing already.
  14. Ya I think it's a mata tang.. maybe.. Was not able to get name from the China girls at LCK... boss also was not ard.. Do chk the discussion on the ID forum on the above tang though.. http://www.sgreefclub.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=77196 Ya the AT got to wait a little longer.. looking at getting rid of 1 or 2 of the bigger tangs before i intro AT.. Anyone has successfully intro AT into an established tank with existing tangs?
  15. Hey thanks. Frankly I really am not too keen on the big angels. I somehow love the dwarfs more.. However, am on the lookout for nicely-sized big angel juveniles.. I can't help but be constantly amazed during the transformation phase.. Still looking out for a few more tangs though, (Purple, Atlantic Blue, & Achilles), but guess I'll have to wait a while. There's been some heightened agression since the 7th & the 8th tangs added. See torn/split fin of powder blue.. I'll post pic tonite from home pc.
  16. My ever productive pair of Perculas. Seen here the daddy tending to their 7th batch of "fish roe". Have not been able to hatch them though..
  17. My humble FOWLR.. 6x2x2 Aquabee 5000 as return pump Beckett Skimmer Tunze 6201 (set to lowest 5,000 L/hr for circulation) ??? FR with Zorb-4 4 x 54W T5 DIY set (lights placed "overlappingly" on a 5' plywood plank) Livestock?.. Still stocking up slowly..
  18. Here's better pics.. Any new revelations?
  19. Erm... the closer i look, i think it's more blue line than mata.. Base colour of the fish is dark grey-brown, with blue lines (Blue Line Tang). The Mata Tang is more blue-ish overall.. Will try to get a better shot over the next few days.. Thanks folks!
