  6. What I mean by more control is that, if in the future you have a nitrate problem, if you are running bare bottom, you will have no sand bed to push the blame to, hahahha. Do note that, without sand bed, some fishes can't be kept, jawfish etc... If ya need sand bed, either <1 inch or > 4 inch[DSB]
  7. Juz curious, who is running bare bottom reef tank at the moment? Siphon detritus once a week? Please share ya experience, thanks in advance.

  12. I saw black cap at reef depot, very nice price....cheaper than usual. Nice jawfishs too, i think is the pearl white. Some angels at sealife, majestic, swallow tail etc etc. No flame angel though.
  13. Hi, would it be okay to keep a bare bottom tank and not use a DSB? Using a bare bottom tank gives u more control. However, DSB do work, i will leave the black spot as it is. Hydrogen sulphide danger is over-rated. Its been said in wet wet media.

  19. Earth, my flame angel KO yesterday, been feeding well, not much fishes in tank, nitrate 0. Still..... I was reading on some forums, it is said that due to improper handling, some might have internal injury before arriving at LFS... I wonder how true....
