  1. My greedy clowns always grab the food first, chiongster, haha, leaving those shy feeders hungry.....no more food... Therefore , sometimes no choice but to flood the tank with food a bit to let those shy feeders have a chance....
  2. I'm very curious. I seldom see them chance the resin of the water cooler, anyone knew whether its ever been changed? I nv remembered seeing mine being change in school last time for a long long time....yuck....
  3. I'm keeping a six line and a diamond goby and some others.... The last time I saw a bristle worm, it is half way inside my goby mouth. Anyway, I do miss them however..... always like some garbage eaters.... I heard six line also makan flat worms, about their behaviour, so far so good, nv disturb anyone, rather depending on individual.
  4. I will only order bryani there. But standard also dropping.....
  5. Can different Wrasses be mixed together? Currently, owning a six-line. Can mix with Dragon Wrasse, clown, fairy etc ect.... A wrasses theme tank? haha Thx in advance.
  6. sidetrack a bit, can I mix them with shrimps such as cleaner? Thx in advance.
  7. http://www.sgreefclub.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=44312 Above thread. I used to soak the seaweed with a bit of galic guard, works too.
  8. One tip I used is that I always put fish food right at the front of the tank when feeding, so all the fishes [including my 2 firefish] would move towards there to feed, after long, they will realise that that area is where food will "appear", and tends to stay there most of the time in the day. Another reason will be due to other aggressive fishes if ya had any.... Gd luck.
  9. Thx guys, I will go find the thicker sheet of acrylic first, if cannot, will go find the pvc pipe.
  10. Hi guys. I need to DIY a cover for my 3ft tank , which is 3ft long and 1.5 ft wide. I bought transparent acrylic sheets, but too thin diameter and they will bend inwards. Any suggestion? Thanks in advance.
  11. nice "jiu meng". Used to catch those at sembawang coast. Saw someone bought it at aquamarin too, the young ones, abt 15cm.
  12. Quite gd leh, used to join tiny pieces and making arch.
  13. My Fwolr. Lots of mini caves for the fishes to swim through.
  14. Juz been to the Members Tank & Specs section... Anyone would like to post More pics of their's or any more interesting rockscaping? Share share.
  15. The shark at the wisma tank is always chasing those GT. Chasing them round and round and round.
  16. Since its the chinese new yr, Anyone has any 5 gallon empty salt bucket with cover to spare? Any brand will do, no leak with cover can liao.. Thanks in advance. Pm me.
  17. Any blood? Any swelling in the affected area? Be careful of bacteria infection. Do consult a doctor if the condition is bad.
  18. Fish to avoid = damsel... I dun think putting a terror into a tank to tame another terror is a gd idea. It juz makes more terrorist......
  19. Lets seee... My fire gobies, false clown, angel, all loves the pellets. Yum.
  20. Now I know why the false gramma is always inside those plastice containers in LFS,separated from the other fishes. Used to owned one, super bully. Fish trap, or hold a torch light in complete darkness, shine on the fish and it will be stun a while due to the sudden flash of light, and scope it with ya net on the right hand.
  21. Agree. The longer ya wait, the more stable ya water will be. And please test the water parameter with the necessary testkits.
  22. Agree. However, if budget is the Concern, then ya can go for NSW. Quarntined them, at least a day before pouring it into ya tank. How big is your tank? Make sure ya go throught the whole proper cyclin period. No shortcut. :)
  23. ahhh, reminds me of my old 1 ft. So ya starting a nano? IMHO, Another advantage of using live rocks, is of the bacteria on it which will helps to support the nitrogen cycle, bacteria that converts ammonia to nitrite to nitrate. If you have enough liverocks, the rock will house enough bacteria for your bioload. Add a good skimmer or change water more often to reduce nitrate, then the water will be in rather good condition. I can say that with enough water movement, there shld not be much algae problem. And use distilled water too. So, if ya wanna use dead rocks, I believe u need another way to handle the bioload?
  24. How about buying some cured live rocks from fellow reefers? Personally, I dun rather like dead rock, because, I have one[for testing purpose] in my tank, and it take ages to become alive. No point lah. Got crab, use bottle trap. Got worm? let it eat those left over food.
  25. Used do owned a blenny a yr back, died as my tank no more algae and it refuses to eat spirulina flakes as well as those sinking one.... How to I accustomed the blenny to the new food? Once in a QT tank, I feed him seaweeds straight away? Or does it need some live food first to kick start his eating? Then , slowly feed seaweeds? Thanks in advance
